Street of Dreams is such a cheesy title. What was he thinking.

I'm going to hold out until the full thing is released. Haven't been listening to the other songs either except for once.

Recently I have started taking comfort in the fact that all the people that are disagreeable to me, will die just like everybody else.

I’m too spoiled by prime Axl live videos from 1986 to 1993. Not able to put up with the helium voice of the last 20 years. But I do think they put on a good show for the audience. A lot of bands play short gigs while charging a ton of money. Guns will give you 2.5 to 3 hours.

2002 is not quite "classic Axl" but he has a very strong voice there. I've learned to appreciate it over the years. Not so much rasp, but a lot of power.

It's not even the best song since 2017!

These two singles are not boding well for the album. I very much doubt there is something better being held back. It shows that they are missing their entire rhythm section. Wyman was bad enough and now Watts too. Creatively it seems time to just hang it up.

I'll wait for the whole thing though.

Count of Monte Cristo (1998)

Probably reviewed this before. Still the best Monte Cristo, Depardieu is immense.

Love the period. 19th century Europe is peak civilization. And the French language is so beautiful. It looks like a mess when you're writing it, but speaking it is just marvelous. They are to spoken language what the German is to the written.

For all its professionalism, American cinema has always been lacking in art.

A woman in her 40s is not going to have much of a career unless she is something special. Long is not even lead actress material. Should have realized she would never become another Kathleen Turner and stayed in the show. It's like Neve Campbell and all those others, they have their time and that's that.

When Shannen Doherty can't make the jump from tv to movies it shows how hard it is. She was a very talented actress, carried 90210.

Poland has had designs on the Ukraine for centuries. Ultimately they dream about another Great Poland like in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Their first priority is to deny Russia, but once that was achieved their eyes returned to possible gains in the Ukraine. When Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia, the Poles used the situation as cover to grab a small region for themselves. I would not be surprised if they attempt something similar should the Ukraine collapse.
