i wouldn't jump to conclusions and say he coned the other guys out of the rights.

That isnt whats fucked up.  Whats fucked up is if he isnt allowing STP merchandise on shelves b/c he want to pump up VR.

I have a question though, if he owns the rights to STP merch, is he the only one that would receive money from them?  Like if i were to somehow find an STP shirt, and bought it, would Scott be the only one seeing money from it?

No.  What is meant by this is that Scott makes the decisions on what gets put out there.  The whole band gets money based on that.  Which is really shitty for the rest of the band because now all they get is record sales while Scott has got VR going on.

Sucks for us STP fans too that want some merchandise.  I wasn't into STP during their active days unfortunately.  This is really fucked up, but it really explains why i can never find any STP stuff.

He's the biggest moron to set foot in the White House. He wants them to "come clean"? Why? Our own intelligence services "came clean" with whats going on in this latest report.

Our country's desperation for more war is insanity. Now, instead of going after them for current nuclear issues like we had planned, we are grasping at straws for them to come clean on their old nuke program.

They are just tying to find some way to go to war with Iran.

Guess what?  Democracy isn't the only form of Government that works.  Look at history.  Our young nation has only been a 'democracy' for 200 years.  Other civilizations have been successful FAR longer with a different political system.

I hate how we have to impose our political beliefs on other countries.  We are overstepping our boundaries way too much.

I was at a local Hot Topic and was talking to a girl who worked there.

I went up and was like "Do you have any STP stuff?"

She said "no because Scott Weiland owns the rights to STP merch and wants to get more sales in VR right now"

My theory is that he isn't doing any STP merch since they are on bad terms. Anyone else have opinions?

From Bshea at STmuthafukinP.com

Looks like Scott found his way to con his band members out of some of a Piece of the STP Pie.  Really shitty in my opinion.

At least Axl isn't prohibiting GNR merchandise from being sold to spite his ex band members.

The fuck... who makes the call on what these guys release?  Axl?  Gravedancer would've been the best choice.  Get Out the Door is a decent tune, but it's way too repetitive.

The fans chose this single.  They had a big voting deal on their website where GOTD barely beat out Let It Roll.

My whole point to this thread was this.

Now that Scott is back in the news, Libertad will pick up slightly in sales.  Thier single will not effect it i believe.  It will be Scott getting arrested for 'drugs' again.

Jesus of Suburbia is a very good song for Green Day.  That album is their best ever in my opinion and their only really good one since Dookie.

I agree Jesus of Suburbia is a good song, although on the whole American Idiot I don't like that much.

Does anybody actually like Champagne Supernova? Oasis has fame for some reason, even though they had 2 hits and a thousand albums.

It is a good song, my whole point was that there is no way in hell it's one of the 50 greatests songs over 7 minutes.

Hey everybody, this is the first entry in the studio blog for the upcoming record. We came off the road at the end of September and took a few days off, then got right back to work writing and rehearsing new material. Right now things are going well, we've got 5 songs completed as full demo recordings, another 4 or 5 songs that have been written completely, and a boat load of great ideas we're trying to finish. I'm stoked on the new stuff! We got off to a slow start for us, I think we're were all so used to being in a tour bus that it took us a while to settle in. Oh..... and X and I had to ride our choppers from Florida to LA with a few friends to blow out the cobwebs, and get in the right frame of mind for the long studio hours. JT's been spending some quality time in the boxing gym, Stevie's been decorating his new pad, and Jimmy is impeccably dressed, as usual. But... we are definitely deep in it now, and this past week has produced what may be the most ass-kicking songs we've ever written. I'm really looking forward to playing this stuff live, and I really can't wait for you guys to hear this stuff!!! Anyway, I'll have more specifics later on the songs, maybe a few titles, and we'll keep ya posted as to when we actually start the record. More and this and other useless info soon to follow. Keep the faith!

Unfortunately, it's not because of their just now confirmed 3rd single Get Out the Door, but due to Scott's problems.  And it won't be significant.

GREEN DAY?  What the fuck are they on?

And i fully agree with the Pink Floyd comment, should have definently been Shine on You Crazy Diamond.

Half these songs don't deserve this honor.  Is this in order?  Cuz i feel Freebird should be ahead of a lot of these.

#2499 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Weiland Arrested Again » 917 weeks ago

I pray to God it's not drugs again.  He can do so much better than that.

#2500 Re: Guns N' Roses » Another Year Almost Gone By » 918 weeks ago

I don't much care anymore.  I ain't holding my breath for this album to come out.  If/when it does, great.  There are other bands out there besides GNR.  It's just a shame it had to end like this with the fan base.
