Well if you look at it, it's nothing more than the AFD Adler breaking away from some multi-colored egg (I'm assuming UYI).  16

14  good analogy.

I think the tattoo looks pretty lame, I can't say that I would want a tattoo of an Easter Egg on my arm.

lol, i didn't start the thread. wink

people read & respond cuz they're interested. i'm sure a lot of it is confusing & frustrating though. i'll say no more. way too much has already been revealed here and it's a slippery slope. so goodbye to all. i think i will play NFL blitz 2000 with the fellows.

MSL, I respect that, but could you please, privately send us proof that/why you believe these guys are authentic.

Likewise, could you also just clear up the 'Zodiac' situation for us.  You can do this privately or publicly here - whichever you see fit.  Thanks for your time.

I agree... blame the thread starter.:flame: 4 3 14

Grasshopper (said in my best Kung Fu voice) - I think you should leave this to the experts like MSL, Darknemus et al

I read Adlers myspace bulletin for today which said:

Steven's New Tattoo!
It was Slash who actually conceived of the idea for Steven's new tat. It is called "New Beginnings". The image is meant to symbolize a breakout from the trappings of his former self; an escape to a more productive, healthier life.

Howard Teeman did an excellent job realizing the concept!

I found it interesting that he said Slash conceived the idea.  Perhaps Slash may still check up on his old buddy a bit more than I thought.  That said, how many "new beginnings" can this guy have.  Why will this time be any different to all the others?

That said, I do hope he can get himself together coz this cat must be almost out of lives.

One thing that is surprising me, and this is just my point of view please don't go off on me for this, but how can any of you make any of these comments on 11 out of 70 songs? We haven't even heard a quarter of the songs and already people are saying it's nothing groundbreaking, or earthshattering. Can't you see? This is earthshattering! This project has used up 15 mill! 14
Seriously though, None of us have heard some of the more epic songs from this. For all we know(Axl said it and I believe it) this is FILLER  Show me a few albums that have filler as good as these songs.

Unfortunately, I don't see the leaks that we currently have as "filler".  When people who have worked on Chi Dem have spoken about their time on the project, it seems that the same song names continue to repeat themselves - a fair chunk of those songs we have now heard.  My question is why do the same song names keep coming up?  My answer is that this is most likely their best material.

Can there still be great songs we haven't heard - absolutely!

Are the songs we currently have filler - absolutely NOT!

Will the release of CD when it finally happens create a big stir with lots of excitement - absolutely!

Will CD be earth shattering, the best album ever, reinvent the wheel, end world hunger and everything else people are predicting - abosolutely NOT!

For me I am expecting a good solid album that is better than most of the other shit music that is out there on offer at the moment.  No more no less.

#2506 Re: Guns N' Roses » More leaks soon? » 928 weeks ago

If multiple people have sorry (assuming they all have the same version) it would be harder for the guns camp to pinpoint exactly who leaked it.  So perhaps that is a posibbility.

But Shackler's would have to be a high chance of leaking next (as a side note unlike other pathetic comments I have read on various sites I believe this will have nothing to do with pirates).

What kind of a charge can they make up for inciting/requesting leaks??

I finally got around to getting my Robert Williams lithograph framed - its been sitting rolled up in a tube for a couple of years.  I think it's come up a real treat!

They were a limited run of 350 and each is personally signed by Robert.  The only problem is where to put it up.  My girlfriend thinks it looks disgusting and is not keen to have it up in the house - but it's going up with or without approval 16

#2508 Re: The Sunset Strip » METALLICA Discussion » 928 weeks ago

I might have to hire that DVD out again to see if it was just Bob Rock saying it - I can't recall (I was sure Lars said it somewhere but I could be wrong).

But really that album is nothing like the old songs - even down to the song formation (which makes you think they weren't really trying to replicate the old stuff - as you suggested).  I mean there hardly seems to be any real lead guitar in it or any guitar solos for that matter.  The only thing similar to their early stuff is that there are a couple of longer tracks on there and thats about where the similarities end.

I really hope that with this new album they manage to put some classic guitar solos in with some instrumental interludes etc thrown throught the songs where there is a change of tempo and stuff - THAT would be like going back to their roots.  I still reckon it hurts them not having Cliff Burton there, his classical background I think is what heavily influenced some of the real melodic guitar interludes etc (I really like some of that stuff).  Hope they can pull it off (Metallica would probably be my next favourite band after GN'R) and I've loved most of what they have done over the years.  I also think they should go back to having Hetfield write most of the lyrics rather than the collaborative effort (it didn't seem to work for some reason with St Anger).

Here we go again...

I follow Metallica very closely and I'd really to see where exactly the band stated that they were "going back to their roots" on St Anger. The only people who said that were the ones actually hoping for it. The band always stated that St Anger would be a fucked up, ugly metal album with some of the speed of their earlier material, which is pretty dead on.

The fact that the band are actually saying their new stuff is like their 80's material gives me hope that it might actually be true.

Was it the some kind of monster documentary that had some of the the making of ST anger in?  The one where they are all sitting around kicking about lyrics and stuff like "Tick Tock Tick Tock"?

Im gonna do some diggging - I'm sure I heard Lars use some words similar to the effect of going back to the Garage Days kinda sound.

Dont' get me started on the fucking clanging of the drums and ugly snare sound on that album.  I know they deliberately tried to go away from the load albums and more toward that rawer less produced sort of sound by Jesus Christ - find a happy medium people!

Maybe it was the St Anger bonus DVD or something?  Im gonna find it
