#251 Re: Guns N' Roses » Best Buy exclusive dramatically limited 1st week sales! » 873 weeks ago
And it still did 261k opening week.
I'm actually seeing this a bit differently after reading that article.
Wal-Mart has over THREE TIMES the stores Best Buy has.
If they'd put CD in Wal-Mart, coupled with WM's promo, it might've did better than Black Ice, if not went instant-platinum, and #1.
That has been my opinion (though unpopular it appears) since the beginning. It's simple mathematics. Best Buy hurt the sales, period. Of course the lack of significant promo, videos and Axl didn't help any but the music is NOT the problem.

Some more info from Bloody Disgusting:
Who Will Be Returning in Rob Zombie's 'Halloween' Sequel?
Tuesday, December 16, 2008
We've actually been hearing about Zombie's return to Haddonfield for a few weeks now, and something that has become quite clear to us is that Zombie intends on bringing back a few names from his 2007 remake of HALLOWEEN. From our sources close to the project, expect to see the return of Scout Taylor-Compton as Laurie Strode, Tyler Mane as Michael Myers, Malcolm McDowell as Dr. Sam Loomis, Daeg Faerch as young Michael Myers and of course Sheri Moon Zombie as Deborah Meyers. Nothing is set in stone as the script is currently being written, but we'll have the official news when anything is officially announced. Rob Zombie's H2 picks up right as the first remake ended, following the aftermath of Michael Myers' murderous rampage through the eyes of the sister he hunted.

I never have been a fan of the monster movies either but I suspect that is mainly due to them feeling so dated and "cheesey" to most of us. A modernized version of this could be good. I do agree with Von about the CGI stuff however. Although sometimes it can be good in a movie, for the most part it is just a lazy way to get special effects that (imo) don't have the same quality as special effects that came before.

Cool, time for another mask to add to my collection!

I came up with the greatest ever stoned one night, but forgot it next morning
That would be easy to do.
#257 Re: The Garden » 2008 NFL season » 874 weeks ago
I'm at the other end of the spectrum from the Super Bowl (The Chiefs...go ahead, I'm used to the laughs!) and it is VERY frustrating because they have been so close to being good in the past. The last couple of years they have been horrendous! "Maybe next year." Interesting season for much of the NFL at least. There's several teams fighting for playoff spots this year.

With almost every cd I buy I end up recording it and customizing the playlist to my own personal tastes for use in my car.
I wasn't crazy with a few songs being in the order they were on CD (like Shackler's being right after CD) so I did some rearranging for my recorded copy and enjoy the cd's flow much better.
How would your playlist look?
Here's mine:
1. Chinese Democracy
2. Better
3. I.R.S.
4. There Was A Time
5. Street of Dreams
6. If The World
7. Prostitute
8. Catcher in the Rye
9. Sorry
10. Riad and the Bedouins
11. Shackler's Revenge
12. Scraped
13. Madagascar
14. This I Love
#259 Re: Guns N' Roses » Questions for Axl if he visits GN'R Evolution » 874 weeks ago
Ever double penetrated a chick with Buckethead?
Does he wear the mask when he has sex?
This is not the kind of questions that will be sent to Axl IF he comes by. If you don't have a legit question please do not post in this thread.

The Best Buy I go to is like a fucking ghost house as well. I've said all along that this exclusive hurt sales. Of course hindsight is always 20-20. If it were at Wally World it would have sold twice as much.
