My wife is missing, but this could also be an elaborate hoax to finally get away from me:

I've been out to Red Rocks as well as Green Valley. I saw a country band called Emerson Drive there one night a few years back. The casino, the venue and the band were all awesome.

I'm told I should get over to Laughlin (sp?) sometime?

Not really much going on over in Laughlin I don't think. Maybe it's changed since I've been out there?

Mt. Charleston is cool because it's desert, desert, desert and then....Colorado mountains. Very pretty, unexpected, and a nice break from everything. If you've got a gal, run up there for some lunch and then some outside nookie. Hiking  too, and great all around sight seeing. They even have a ski resort up there (not many people know that.) If you could rent a motorcyle or convertible it would be even better for that one.

I just like Green Valley because you actually win there. It's more locals so they are going to loosen it up a bit. I've never won jack shit on the Strip but have won several times at GV.

I love Vegas overall, I think it's a great city from the Strip to all the other nooks n' cranies. Grand Canyon isn't far away and neither is the hoover dam. If you were a baller you could rent a helicopter and fly over both! If so, report back with pics please. 21

I saw that post on fb buzz. It would've been pretty cool with end up in Vegas at the same time.

I'm super looking forward to it. I didn't get there 4 times, but I did do 3 in one year once, it was awesome. I'm going in January for CES but I'll be working the whole time, so I wanted to do this one now so I can have fun in the city.

I usually don't like weekend trips but this is how it worked out best for the 6 people going and their schedules, so we'll be alright. In other news, this is the bullshit Stacey is doing:

Holy fuckin' ball sauce!!!!!

First of all, if you've been up to the top of that thing, you already know that it's a little nerve racking. Second is that they must have you sign your life away before you jump off that thing, the liability waiver must be a mile long! Finally, I'd shit my PANTS doing that, no way!!!

This will be my 5th time there and it's just plain my favorite place on Earth. There's been a lot torn down and a lot put up since I was there about 3 years ago so it should be new again.

Check out Green Valley Ranch this time, I've always won money there, it's really nice and about 10-15 minutes from the Strip. If you have an extra time, drive out to Mt. Charleston or Redrocks too. There is so much more to LV than just the Strip.

That's not surprising.

People think this all crept up overnight.

its been 10 nearly years since sept 11 dude .... if the govt didnt pour all that $$$ into the war where would USA be today? everythign may not be peaches and cream but i would wager that it wouldve been a sight better than it looks today

The wars played a significant role in our government's fiscal crisis (in fact I'd argue they were like throwing gasoline on a fire.) While some of this overlaps with out economic woes, it certainly was not the catalyst. I think James can attest to my constant bombardment of bellyaching in regards to Bush's war spending years ago (read: China ATM Card) and that eventually the bill would come due. That's one mess, and the economy is another.
