May I be a thorn in everybody's side and mention that BonJovi put out a country album as well? I have a wide highway of musical tastes and I actually like Willie Nelson (gasp!) But it's not the genre I listen to the most, although I can claim classical, and some blues in my collection. I don't let popular opinion dictate my listening tastes, nor do I rely on some chart.
I don't see the need for the big hatefest on Bas, the dude stays busy, and when GNR calls he changes plans and answers that call..no second thoughts needed. They could have done far worse than picking Bas for an opener. As for the negative things that were previously said, Izzy said some negative things as well in the past,
But, it didn't prevent him from taking the stage with GNR in 06'.
Sometimes friendship is more important than hastily issued statements, Some character flaws can be overlooked- and these two guys haven't got a history of litigation against Axl, unlike slash, steven and duff. And to change the topic slash will be covering Paradise City with Fergie on his upcoming album.....:(
make anybody else nauseous? This to me is proof positive he is lacking in the integrity department, and has sunk to new levels of sellout! I don't believe a word he says, after the denial of the 530am visit, slagging on VR, and damn that guy can't keep a band together!!
Okay rumbling ramble over for now
Slash has sunk low indeed. And as for him being a liar. He lies in his biography about the situation where Axl allegedly made them sign away the GNR name. At one point he says it was before a show and a few chapters later he says it happened in a restaurant or something. And they're not two separated events. I hate to say this but Slash should keep his mouth shut. And yeah I do believe the 5:30 am incident too. As for Baz. See my previous posts. *lol*

^^^
Rock fucking bottom. Not only did he do it... but Bret Michaels already did it, and failed, and Baz followed him. The same man who he openly slagged with Axl in 2006, gave him a job OPENING for Poison, and Baz still copy-catted his idea.
I say that to make a point. The dude couldn't have an original thought to save his life. Even the majority of the Skid Row catalog was written by Rachel Bolan & Snake Sabo. He tours performing THEIR songs. At least Axl wrote the fucking lyrics and melodies to alot of GNR's songs.
I agree with you. And I listened to about 30 seconds of that atrocity and I gave up. I'll give Baz his props. He has a good voice but not for country music. It is awful. And yeah Axlin he came off pretty pathetic when he opened for Poison. And to think he actually walked out on an interview cause the guy compared Skid Row to Poison. Baz sucks and sucks big time. Not only he couldn't come up with an original thought to save his life but he couldn't come up with a half decent song. And I still stand by what I said before. Most people that defend him here will and would turn on him like rabid dogs if he had a fall out with Axl. And Baz stop pretending to be a country boy. Stick to pretending to be a metal singer. You may not be good at it but it's better than the country shit.

*lol* That site is so pathetic that I actually feel bad to make any jokes about it.

I'll give this a listen later on. I have to be fair and actually listen before I trash this. *lol* I promise that if it is good I won't trash it.
#305 Re: Guns N' Roses » Here's all the important DJ Ashba answers from the chat » 863 weeks ago
Ron said specifically that Axl never said that. Now if you want to call him a liar, that's your deal. Obviously DJ never got the memo to not say anything involving GNR.
And I hate that I'm coming across as Bashing Ron. I do think he's a nice guy. And his interactions with the fans is really cool, especially his Q&A with this site. I think he's a class guy all the way. It's his evasive answers about GNR that really annoy the shit out of me, when there's really no reason for him to be evasive. Just because he talks doesn't mean he's actually saying anything.
Wow! Backup buddy. I NEVER EVER said or wanted to imply in any way shape or form that you were bashing Ron. Relax there. Quite the opposite. I said that the members of Axl's band can't talk about GNR and you said that Ron answered a question to that matter and said it was not true. Then I said that it is expected that he says that. Now if that implies that you bashed Ron well then fuck I really don't know what to say. And I,ll give you an example. Without knowing what you're job is. Would you really go on record to the press and talk shit about your boss or reveal shit that your boss wouldn't want to be knowned? If yes then expect to be fired on the spot my friend. Same with Ron. If they are asked to keep the information they reveal about GNR to the strict minimum. Do you really think he'll come out and say it openly? Puhlease! He'd get fired on the spot. Ron's lucky to be there. Remember when he talked about auditioning for GNR I think it was back in 05? Was denied by the GNR camp very quickly even though it was true. Don't be naive my friend. Ron not wanting to mention that Ashba was rehersing. Why he refused to reveal while Ashba did? Only Ron knows for sure. But where I respect Ron is that IF he says something regarding GNR he will stand by what he said where as Dick will deny it a couple days later. And Dick wouldn't even say who came up with his guitar solo at the shows. Pathetic. Ron and Ashba could be very useful to Axl as far as the press goes if he would let them be useful.

I'd like to hear him dedicate "Battle With The Bottle" to you.
*lol* I'd actually laugh. And just so I know cause Baz's country venture is completely out of my knowledge. Is that an actual song from him or a reference to his bottle incident back in the late 80's? And while on the subject. What was the verdict for that incident when it went to court? I remember that he felt bad about that incident. And it is really a shame for him and especially the woman that got hurt. I hate people that throws bottles at the performers on stage.

I like Angel Down.
I wonder if Baz has the balls to play his country song at a rock concert? He is suppose to have recorded an entire country album and a follow up to Angel Down. I wonder if any of those songs surface on tour?
And just when I thought it couldn't get worst.

gnfnraxl wrote:misterID wrote:Yes, he talked to the fans. Still does. I never said he didn't. He just talks a lot about nothing, when related to GNR.
And those lame fans actually wanting to ask him about the band he's a part of. What a bunch of A-holes.
And according to Ron, that's not true. That's one of the things he does talk about. Matter of fact, he would probably say you were making that up
Oh I'm sure he would say that. Matter of fact I hope he would say I'm making this up. Know why? Cause I know who signs his checks. And I respect Ron for saying that. The opposite would disappoint me. And I can't believe you would expect Ron to come up and say it is true even if it is he is gonna deny.
Ron won't even mention when/if they practice. DJ has. It has nothing to do with a paycheck.
So because DJ rehearses with the band, it's not true that Axl doesn't want Ron or any other GNR to give out any details concerning GNR or talk about GNR? Okkkk.

gnfnraxl wrote:Neemo wrote:at least baz has you posting gnfnraxl.....i dont hink you've been online this much in a year
*lol* Coincidence Neemo. Just have a little more free time. Plus it's an interesting debate. I love to see some members defend Baz. Makes it interesting. And just so you know guys. I may debate with you but deep down I know I'm right.
Seriously I respect your opinion. BTW Neemo. Did you get your tix yet?
Now, that is actually funny. Every post in this thread is as predictable as it gets and was played out in 2006....hardly "interesting".:peace:
Hey I'm trying to be optimistic here.
#310 Re: Guns N' Roses » From sebastianbach.com » 863 weeks ago
no...i'll post a pic in the other thread when i get them
Cool! Me I'm still debating if I'm going or not. If I was sure to not get an exact repeat from the 06 show then I'd probly have bought a ticket. After all I'll probly never get another chance to see Axl's band play on my b-day. I'll probly wait till the last week to see if I can get a deal similar to the one I had in 06.
