fuck this.. i`m probably in the minority on this site,but i didn`t even want any songs to leak. of course i couldn´t resist listening to them when they were out there though...
i mean getting a few leaks is nice, but having 11 unfinished and/or low quality songs from chinese democracy or one of the follow ups is kinda spoiling it imo.

Really? Based off CITR and Chinese D, I'm definitely interested in hearing more of the 99' era stuff.

I'm not assuming anything. He has already been mentioned in the first mainstream article about this leak. You see Fortus or Bumble being mentioned?
that`s probably because buckethead is more associated with gnr than bumblefoot. he was around when the new gnr played it`s first shows and more importantly, played the vmas. an event, that`s still responsible for the new gnr`s public image. latest proof for this is the recent billboard article on CD becoming a walmart exclusive. in addition to that he plays on almost all the leaks, that are out there..
We already know Bucket wrote the fucking thing so why the need to try and diminish his contributions? Its amazing how the guy continues to own songs leak after leak but still cant get respect. We already know Ron is on the track also. He said he was.
i`m not trying to diminish anything. while i`m not a fan of buckethead`s solo stuff (i think some of it is good though), his work in gnr is absolutely amazing and he`s the guitarist i want to see on stage along with robin.
however, i think people on this forum tend to overrate his role in gnr sometimes. shackler is a cool song and especially his solo in IRS is mind blowing in my opinion, but he doesn`t "own" the leaks. i`m willing to bet, that none of the stuff we`ve heard so far, except for shackler`s revenge and if the world to some extent were written by him. all the stuff was there before. he obviously took them to another level... some of his work isn`t that brilliant though.
anyways... don`t get me wrong. i want to see him back in gnr as much as any buckethead fan here, i just wanted to point out, that it isn`t him playing lead on shackler`s revenge in my opinion. and i`m not sure wether that`s a good thing...

i like the song, but let`s face it. this song was chosen as the first single, because: a)better leaked early and b) it doesn`t feature robin.
i hope better is still planned as a single, maybe the second one. virtually everyone i played it to loved it from first listen. people that usually listen to hiphop, pop or rnb....that`s not quite the case with this one.
in my opinion it`s a great song though. and it should be proof enough, that axl won`t keep vocals that were recorded in `99 on the record....

Its like a White Zombie song. Actually, more like a solo Rob Zombie track. Bucket kills as usual.
Guitars much different in this than any other track. I think we are finally hearing Fortus on a track.Love some of the lyrics in this.
come on james, the solo guitar work on this track screams ron thal... especially the fast playing during the chorus. of course i`m not 100% sure, but to me it sounds more like something ron does.
and i`m still not sure what to think about that solo...

I´d recommend his new album or delilah unplugged.
i m not that keen on these bumble vs. bucket discussions though. they both bring something entirely different to the table. bucket is more the technical player i think, while bumble is more the fun guy. both player`s contributions probably brought chinese democracy to a new level in some way...

Dave, I am with you 100%!!!!!!!!!!!! IT MUST BE RELEASED PRIOR TO GAME TO BUILD UP MOMENTUM. None of my friends want to experiment with some unknown when wanting to have fun and drink beer.
will your friends buy it the first day it comes out and won`t play it like two weeks after release?
the song is set to be debuted on rockband2, so it`s highly likely that it`ll be released with the game first and then probably on iTunes the day after. people will still get the chance to become familiar with the song this way i think. of course not in the same way as let`s say wttj or scom...

i don`t think you`re missing something. mysteron is one of the few credible "insiders"...
him posting on htgth should be proof enough:haha:
anyways.. this rumour was true at some point and hopefully still is. we`ll probably find out on monday.
