Not kids, boys and men are. I swear there is nothing more bizarre seeing a 19 year old boy talking about womens rights, not because he's interested in politics, but because it's viewed as the hip thing to do these days.
I can see why our forefathers made laws to restrict women, cause many men apparently can't assert themselves without the backing of armed soldiers.

Either way it's weird for him to liken himself to Axl Rose in that situation when Axl is widely regarded as being perhaps the example of somebody continuing to use a name without much merit.
I guess he must be referring to seeing Slash and co on stage performing GN'R songs with some (to many) random singer.
And although Axl is regarded as having tarnished the name I don't see where he's actually done it. His touring setup performs credible enough and whatever CD is, it in no way tarnishes GN'R legacy. Yeah, he continues to use the name somewhat dubiously, but he isn't using it to put out crap for a quick buck or anything like that.

Also, only what would become the complete album leaked, nothing else. Indicating the leaks had something to do with the album itself and weren't just random security slips.
I'm inclined to believe somebody on the inside leaked it to both hurry up the release and perhaps also to hurt the sales. If we what we hear about Azoff is true, his plan all along was to tank CD to induce a reunion from Axl. If Universal cut Axl off from funding back in 04 they'd probably write the album expenses off as a loss, meaning they are not going to take any big risks with it after.
That could also explain why Axl feels he's getting no support from the label. They see trying to prop this band up as a huge risk. It's preferable to just cash in on a reunion. The longer they give him the cold shoulder, the more likely he is to cave in (or so they think).

More opinions and comments from Axlin, after these messages and after I finish my goddamn Halloween candy.
You did the rounds or just buy a lot of candy?

This show is finished. The writers have lost the plot completely. They should walk the talk so to speak and focus on prohibition, not make a show about very minute detail of a bunch of semi interesting characters lives. Yeah, you can flesh out characters, but a smart writer knows how to make it part of the plot and not the plot itself.
It used to have moments. Now it feels like a daily special variant of "Margaret sleeps with murderer of her husband, becomes a christian, sleeps with another dude" and "Nucky doesn't know if he's a schoolboy in love or a stone cold psychopath".

For the 15th time, what the hell was said about Baz and Baz with Duff?
Seconded.
#3309 Re: Guns N' Roses » Commissioner, Women’s Shelter Call GN'R Concerts Ads 'Inappropriate' » 706 weeks ago
I remember my cousin used to have an alternate version of that poster which had "Guns N' Roses Was Here" added to the top. Now that would be inappropriate.
The artwork is kinda pointless and speculative, but it's no more demoralizing than a daily newspaper article talking up some gruesome rape.
#3310 Re: The Sunset Strip » Disney Buys Lucasfilm (Lucas giving $4bil to charity) » 706 weeks ago
There is one thing about Star Wars that really makes this a sacrilegious move. They are more or less the only independent big budget movies out there. What's special about them is that the story hasn't been neutered to pieces with corporate sensitivities like demographics, emotional psychology charts, subliminal imagining and political agendas. It's basically the vision of one man. He got more than a little bit lost with his technical focus on the prequels, but like The Spaghetti Incident is still Guns N' Roses, they are still Star Wars.
Disney is not just a corporation, they are a "five families" level corporation. When's the last time they made something that wasn't just a ploy to sell tickets and implant children with covert sexual undertones? There is no vision, no respect, no risk. Just calculations, surveys and ultimately, profits.
Sure they are not dumb enough to rock any major boats too soon, and as long as Lucas is involved this next trilogy could be quite good, but the signs of things to come will be there, believe that. You can say what you will about Lucas but he's created a truly vivid universe, the guy is raw talent. Ultimately it really is going to be akin to replacing Axl Rose or making a new Lord of the Rings trilogy.
