He's been a lot more active with touring since Uni cut their funding. I'd venture to say this is what keeps gn'r operations going since 05/06.
Think it was Izzy said he didn't expect to hear from Axl regards to a reunion until he was broke, then the phone call would be something like this: (axl) "you know izz, I've been thinking.."

Lofton posted about it.
As mist settled over the river at dusk, tall buildings appeared to rise from nowhere, leading residents in nearby Huanshan City to speculate that the vision may be a "vortex" to a lost civilisation.
Seems an unrealistically apt assumption for a citizen to make. Who the hell knows about vortexes?
Scientists have quashed the vortex theory and, as per usual, have a simple explanation for the incredible sight.
They believe it may have been a mirage, caused when moisture in the air becomes warmer than the temperature of the water below.
Here come the party poopers. Why is it that scientists increasingly come off as zealot priests in their reasoning?
The rain and moisture give a clue to an alternative explanation though: This could be some sort of holographic experiment. If the media fails to report on something it's more likely to be true. They are liars by craft after all. This recent thing with the Tupac show could tie into to it.

This totally opens up the door for a purely computer generated artist. Have an algorithm crank out mathematically pleasing melodies. Then you create the artist reflecting the needs of the proper demographic, the right voice, right color of skin, right hair, right opinions etc.
Oops, looks like they're already doing this..

Whatever you do, don't leave the band.
Too bad he was too young to listen.

Be out of shape and don't sing for a year. Do a couple of shows cold turkey and he's back. The man continues to amaze me.
He looks and sounds more like a guy in his early 40s.

Have you guys seen this video?
Only in America: In Defense of Axl Rose by Piers Morgan
http://edition.cnn.com/video/#/video/be … l-rose.cnn
Is he making that up or did Axl actually rip up the invitation and throw it out a window alongside a television set?
He's right though. Only big time rocker never to suck industry cock.

"If you look at rock and roll movies, they've never been done right. The only ones that I actually thought were decent were The Doors movie, (which) I thought was decent and I liked the Johnny Cash film (Walk The Line). If you look at any of those other kind of traditional rock flicks, like Mark Wahlberg and Rock Star and all those, they're all kind of dumb.
Ex-Guns N' Roses replacement drummer is fresh out of rehab with a new script. The reinvigorated rocker appeared in good spirits when we met him at the bar. For a man that used to take champagne jacuzzis with 6/10 models in the 90s his standards have not gotten any lower. "I'm not doing this for under a $100 million."
Hollywood A listers and big time directors have all said they are in a state of ecstatic anticipation at the prospect of a call from the legendary drummer. We spoke to producer Joel Silver on the phone "I've done some big stuff, but this just got me excited in a whole new way. Why has nobody ever thought about this before? You know, I got Jim C. coming over here "has he called? you think it's going to be today?". We've already made a substantial offer. Now all we can do is cross our fingers and wait for Mr. Sorum to make a decision."

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Axl claim that to be a demo version? lyrically I agree with what you said however this version suffers from terrible, terrible, terrible production. Plus I think the dual guitar solo parts from 2:49- 2:57 absolutely suck. It's like a major attempt as pussification. It's just so out of place in my opinion. Would love to hear if he has another version of it hidden away somewhere.
I remember walking about 4 miles each way the day this came out to go buy the End of Days soundtrack. I was so damn excited to hear this and to be honest my reaction was luke warm. I didn't even really want my friends to hear it cause I ahd built it up so much and I KNEW what their reaction would be. I think the chorus is pretty awesome the rest though is just ok for me. Like I said though I agree with the lyrics being pretty darn good.
He does, and in this case it might be accurate. Not big on the solo thing either, something that could be worked on. But lyrics, vocals, the riff and just the sound of it was very cool and promising. Took a few years too let it sink in though, so no surprise it tanked.
Something like this could fare a lot better these days though I think. For once the expectations to a new GN'R album are almost non existent.
