#3791 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Velvet Revolver Still Mulling New Frontman » 871 weeks ago
Damn, no-one has posted anything here in 12 days!
Anyway, got this from HTGTH:
According to Matt Sorum regarding 2009...
Velvet Revolver is going to be back in the studio, getting back to work, hopefully we are going to find a singer so we can get back on the road...next summer is the plan.

I was surprised to see CD for sale in Kmart (Aussie Walmart equivalent) today, as it wasn't there when it first came out. It was on the top shelf of the top 30 Cds section.

You may think it's boring, but having visited the Great Barrier Reef, it's a damn shame if this is true. The coral there is one of the great wonders of the world.
#3794 Re: Guns N' Roses » LARS ULRICH Holding Up Release of GNR 'Better' Video? » 871 weeks ago
In GN'R's defense, they sold out a shitload of shows in Australia on their 2007 tour here. But maybe that had allot to do with the fact they hadn't toured here in 14 years.
I also think the majority of the people that went didn't know Slash was out of the band too, because promo material mentioned nothing of what the lineup was.

I lost faith in Brendan O'Brien after helped produce Libertad. He is responsible for Dave's fart sounding guitar tones ruining whatever enjoyment I might have gotten from that CD.
#3796 Re: The Garden » New Years Resolutions for 2009 » 872 weeks ago
I don't make any resolutions because they are all bullshit. People never stick to anything they say on new years.
That's not necessarily true, I've made resolutions in previous years and stuck to them.

First of all, happy new year everyone!
Not sure of time differences whether it's actually 2009 yet in the rest of the world, but it is here in Australia.
Anyway, does anyone have any resolutions they'd like to share?
I'm usually not really one for these sort of things, but 2009 will be the year I get my first tattoo. I just don't know what it will be yet, which is probably the reason I haven't got one yet! hehe
But, I do intend to get off my ass and design something cool (like I've been saying to my friends for a while) and get it inked on me!
I also plan on getting myself in a better situation financially, as well as keeping up my fitness. I've been at the gym pretty constantly since June which is the longest time I've ever committed to keeping in shape.
#3798 Re: Guns N' Roses » Chinese Democracy Chart Positions Thread » 872 weeks ago
One thing with all these references to other big bands selling bucket loads, consider this:
AC/DC released an album that sounds like AC/DC
Metallica released an album that sounds like Metallica
Guns N' Roses released an album that sounds a little like GN'R, but for the most part, I think people were turned off by the new sounds and styles of CD.
