#31 Re: Guns N' Roses » Libertad Fails - Will nuGNR follow? » 125 weeks ago

Sixteen years ago, I was managing a music store. A week or two after the release of that album, a gorgeous and beautiful young woman came into the store. I looked at her and told my coworker five words: 'new VR album, track 2.'

By the time he found the CD and cracked up upon revealing that track 2 is 'She Mine,' I already had her number.

Anyhow the album is indeed weak, but it still has some gems- The Last Fight, Can't Her Out Of My Head is a great cover with one of my favorite Slash's tone, and Gravedancer is also decent.

I was unaware of Messages until I listened to the album on Spotify, and to this day, it send shivers down my spine..

Truly amazing!
Perhaps it's my fever talking, but wouldn't it be great if they WON'T release it on streaming platforms, just to amplify the buzz.. and then all of us 7" buyer will rush out to our devices and to hear...

a quite 3 minutes? 16

I'll see myself out now

Man...why can't they just go into a studio and bust out these songs in one or two takes?

That would be a dream,right?

But maybe it’s not something they “can” or “ know” how to do.. (you can very well add Archer’s “Can’t or won't meme)

You know, even Appetite wasn’t recorded live or first takes only, but it was pretty fucking close to it!
Then the Illusions with all its overdubs and Slash/Axl’s perfectionism… fuck, even Live fucking Era had Axl doing overdubs!

I’d pay a small fortune for a “bare bones” version of Chinese.. a simplified vocal -2 guitars-bass-drums (plus whatever the fuck Dizzy and Mellisa add) album..

It’s legit. This leaked a long time ago.

Thanks!
I wasn't visiting the boards back at 2012-2013.

Fuck that's amazing! Anybody know why/ how comes it surfaces again ?

Is it legit?
The vocals sounds  too much similar to the AI versions people are making

So if they actually play it, we should expect it on all platforms by midnight?

Soon is the word..  wink

That is... interesting..
I've skipped through some of the songs and while some sounds good, I'm not sure about others ( used to love her for example), I mean I'm not sure if the AI is needed there.

Anyway, I'd love to know more about the process.
Is it some kind of filter/ voice changer effect?
A ML module with lots of live concerts generating a new version of each song?

The idea itself is crazy and amazing

I would make a law where bands aren't allowed to tour after 45 years of age.

Can we exclude blues artists? big_smile

Imagine Pantera doing a show with Britney Spears in the late 90s, unthinkable.

That would be amazing! big_smile

Seriously though, she's not a new mainstream artist or the latest sensation so that comparison is not fair,  IMO.

This band squanders all perfect opportunities.

And there probably isn’t an album anyway

There is an album there….just not with Slash and Duff on it

Or is there?
Maybe they can package up a few new covers for a "The Spaghetti Incident?" 30th anniversary box set in 2025 duff

That probably will happen, along with a punk-covers-motherfucker-theme tour. Just like this one will be UYI themed, they'll probably play some songs they haven't played since '93 (or maybe at all), perhaps there will be a single and then they'll go into hibernation again...
