What the hell is Marilyn Manson up to, you ask?

"My new record is done, man," he tells the S.S. "It's called The High End of Low - it's a self-described state of being that I'm in. You're going to be fucking freaked. It's the shit."

Manson is currently in the mixing process - no word yet on a release date - and this month he'll shoot the album's first video, for the tune "I Want to Kill You Like They Do in the Movies." "It's nine minutes long," he says. "Severely sadist. Basically, it's murder, sex, death, the end."

While we're in Los Angeles for the Grammy's, we'll drop by Manson's pad and get the full scoop.

There ya go.

I'd like to add that I also hate the Fray, VH1 Artist of Seemingly the Last Couple Years.

EDIT: I hate Coldplay, too, and hope Satriani owns their ass.

I was watching the news myself and saw someone holding a "Where's Adler?" sign in the background.

The 2001 GN'R would have been a defining new chapter for the band. It was their best and last chance. This current configuration isn't even a band. If Brain does come back, I hope he brings Bucket with him.

A sad day for any deathrock/horror punk/psychobilly fans out there who grew up with this great, twisted band...

Lux Interior, lead singer of THE CRAMPS, passed away this morning at 4:30 a.m. PST due to an existing heart condition at Glendale Memorial Hospital in Glendale, California. He was 62 years old.

Lux has been an inspiration and influence to millions of artists and fans around the world. He and wife Poison Ivy's contributions with THE CRAMPS have had an immeasurable impact on modern music.

THE CRAMPS emerged from the original New York punk scene of CBGB and Max's Kansas City, with a singular sound and iconography. Their distinct take on rockabilly and surf along with their midnight movie imagery reminded us all just how exciting, dangerous, vital and sexy rock and roll should be and has spawned entire subcultures.

Interior, whose real name was Erick Lee Purkhiser, was born October 21, 1946 in Ohio. He met Ivy in 1972 and started the band shortly thereafter.

According to Billboard.com, THE CRAMPS released fourteen albums over the course of their career. Their latest, 2004's "How To Make a Monster", sold 11,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Their best-selling album, 1984's "Bad Music for Bad People", has sold 95,000 copies.

russ, I apologize. I didn't mean it to seem like I was singling out your post, and I see now that it did. You just mentioned the blu-ray release of the first flick and it set something off because while I already have a substantial amount invested in a blu-ray collection and home theater setup, I've been second guessing myself a lot lately. Really it has more to do with my disappointment in the overly clarified transfers of older, lower budget stuff. For example, I wouldn't trade the experience of my Dark Knight blu-ray for any other format. It's mindblowing. So, I'm really of two minds on the subject. I respect your own opinion and apologize again if it seemed like I was being a dickhead.

Probably a campaign for that stupid Roland Emmerich 2012 movie.

#400 Re: The Sunset Strip » Ticketmaster Is Such Bullshit! » 901 weeks ago

Von

I couldn't see Crue Fest last summer because the minute they went on sale in my area, all the good spots were taken and being sold by Ticketmaster's own "professional" scalpers for upwards of $300-500. Ticketmaster can suck my ass.
