i wouldn't.
as a matter of fact, i wouldn't even be surprised, let alone shocked....
if the album is not in the shops, packaged, and sold....its not finished....simple...for as long as its sitting on someone's desk, collecting dust, waiting for whatever agreement to happen or some or other future member to add his part to it.....its not finished....
believing in all these statements about it being mixed and mastered and finalized is really just clutching at straws because we have nothing else to give us hope...
in reality...the album will be finished, when you see it in a music store....when they do reviews about it, when they do interviews about it....and when they do a tour to promote it....
until then...its not finished.
stop torturing yourself like this.

this is crap, there's a very easy solution for it.
if Axl demands mega bucks for marketing and promotion, the record company could easily say that they will foot the bill each time a component is completed, and pay suppliers directly, as opposed to handing over cash to him to manage.
so, as the cover gets done, they pay for it....as the booklet gets done, they pay for it, as the video concept and costs come through, they pay for it....
its not marketing cash that they're arguing about, its something much larger.....unless Axl is planning on launching this thing on the moon, in which case they should tell him to fuck off....

The forum software is PunBB, we're running v1.2.15 which you can download from here.
The zip file above keeps the file structure needed so if you download PunBB and setup a test board with it you should be able to play around with the skin
Is everyone agreed that the board should be centred? I was just going to make one of the skins available as centered, but if we want them all changing thats fine here

What does everyone else think about adding blogs/country flags?
i dig the flags idea.
blogs/profiles i think may end up being a little bit excessive, as i would assume the main goal is to get people posting in threads, not on the side in some sort of a diary....but that's just me.

I'm just loving the way time is "healing" wounds and changing general perceptions these guys have towards each other....now i'm beginning to completely understand Axl's tactic of disappearance, refusal to interviews and media appearances....
i just don't buy any of the shit Slash is selling currently, i love the guy to death, he has done some awesome work, but i am glad that Axl is a guardian of the gnr catalogue and brand....at least he has kept it relative and the longer he waits with CD, the more iconic he will become, and the more sales will AFD and GH accumulate....
and to be honest....i'd rather have him do an AFD tour every 4 years, then releasing below par material (VR style), and being quickly fogotten thereafter....
slash is great....but he's just out for a quick buck now, and he cannot be blamed for that, like gunslinger mentioned, its the age they're at now, retirements have to be provided for.
the only way Axl will make the reunion call is if Slash and Duff publicly apologise to him.....i dont see it happening any other way.
that, or CD comes out, flops harder than hard....and he chooses the reunion route because he needs cash, and has no other option but that one.

I now understand why he has shut the door on a reunion. He doesn't need it, and never will either. 87-93 was just a chapter in his life. He has moved on.
i disagree a little bit with that one....
i have a feeling that Slash would jump up faster than anyone if Axl made the call....

He's literally putting the cards in place to be a major icon for the rest of his life.
i'd say he's ensuring he's gotta decent retirement plan....the lukewarm reception VR is receiving must have woken him up a little bit, and he's simply doing what anyone else who is semi-normal would....cash in while you can....
