#41 Re: Guns N' Roses » Axl Rose joins AC/DC » 505 weeks ago

FUCKIN HELL YEAH!!   i`m completely drunk and its 6:30am. i checked for some coachella news and now this!! i got tickets to see acdc in hamburg/germany because they were left on my list of must see artists and now axl fuckin`rose is fronting them!!  this is the year people! after all this ashba crap etc. we`re seeing axl back with slash and duff and in addition to that with acdc?!!. quite a good year to be a gnr fan. and for anyone worrying about axl blowing out his voice or lack of rehearsals..  what better way to rehearse than a european tour with acdc?

Hah! I think I know maybe three other acts besides GNR by name in that pic... I'm not that old, am I? I at least know a lot of the bands touring the European festivals....

I`m 26 and i know GNR, Ice Cube and DJ Koze....

the double duty thing seems to be bullshit they got from some satirical artice or something. but the photo is real i guess.

there are still some europe dates by the way. they weren`t cancelled yet and they would fit into gnr`s schedule from what we know. i hope so, as i`vt got tickets for acdc in Hamburg/Germany.

didn`t they rehearse with their full production in atlanta in some airspace hangar or something once? maybe i`m wrong on that one though...

looking ready to kick some ass if you ask me. don`t forget he`s 54 years old.

you can debate it all you want. Adding Izzy makes no sense from a business point of view. he might make a slight difference in the US, but i highly doubt he`d draw another couple of hundred people to a gnr stadium show even there. in South America/Europe/Japan it`ll make no difference... and don`t get me wrong. I´m a fan of Izzy and i`d love to see him with Slash, Duff and Axl on stage and especially in the studio. I don`t think this is all about the money, but in one of his rare interviews axl said that he doesn`t believe that even a reunion with Slash would lead to substantially bigger audiences in most markets (he was obviouslyy wrong about that, although he added that it wouldn`t be enough to make him deal with slash again). now they´re getting 3 million $ per show. allegedly 50% for axl, 25% for slash and duff each. adding izzy would mean they had to split the existing cake. i guess there`s no way the would be getting more than that in total...

From Slash solo, only Wicked Stone and Anastasia would be songs I would want to hear Axl on.

By the Sword would also be amazing. Something about that track always felt like GNR to me.

my favourite Slash song. easily on par with his gnr work imo. and one of his best solos.

Search for Guns N`Roses pictures on google. The answer to this ridiculous discussion is right there...

yeah...  and it is as obvious, that he has absolutely nothing to do with the business side of gnr. never had, never will.
