That's pretty cool. I remember reading one in Newsweek years ago, it said something like "I'd like to say goodbye to my ever loving Mother, and the rest of the world can kiss my ass." The guy was a murderer though, so I don't want to put him on a pedestal, but I always thought it was interesting what he said about his mother. Where'd he go wrong in life?!

I agree with James on that. I'm sure the people egging him on have a ton of remorse, but I can't point the finger directly at them. I was on a news site & in the somments section people were saying they should be charged with manslaughter etc..?! It's easy to say that, however I bet a few of the same posters are the same ones going onto craigslist rants & raves etc giving advice back to people saying "Go kill yourself. Do us all a favor." & stuff like that.
It's like that myspace incident a few years ago. The difference with that though was was the woman was a mother & in her 40's & should know better or at least not participate in stuff like that. But for regular gossiping teens & "Mean Girls" type chicks, I'm surprised it hasn't happened more often.
It's a total shame, I can understand how people assumed it was a joke. I hope they feel some remorse, I'm pretty sure they do. Axlin08 that's a tough story you have, eery. I don't think it's an issue for mods of that site though, it's a matter for those peoples conscious.

I'll post it here rather than start a new thread. I saw a mention on CNN. Pretty cool, they were playing UYI era footage of SCOM in concert & the anchor (red-head, maybe about 40) says "Sweet Jesus it's finally here" (I think but now that I type it out, that doesn't sound right. Politically incorrect or something. It was somelike that that though, Sweet something..) . Then she just went into the 14 years in the making & the Dr Pepper story. Apparently on Sunday you can download a free coupon. It was pretty cool, you could tell she was probably a little bit of a fan in her younger days.

I wouldn't be so quick to toss this aside. While I agree I wasn't a fan of their post Achtung 90's stuff (Lemon etc)... I think they TOTALLY came back swinging with 2001's All That You Can't Leave Behind. Totally refound themselves & their style, and How To Dimantle An Atomic Bomb was a great followup. Vertigo seemed good, but was getting a little more of the same. One thing about U2, unlike bands like Aerosmith they definitely change it up every 3 albums or so.
Funny too, because I remember reading an article in 2000 about the making of the new album, and it mentioned an Edge guitar lick (I think it was Beautiful Day) & I remember thinking "pffffftt, U2?!" Boy was I wrong.
One more album I'm curious about, I read somewhere Butch Vig (of Nevermind fame) is producing the new Green Day album. That could have potential.

It''s a tough guess. I'd go with Kanye because as has been stated that musics popular with younger teens nowadays. When we were younger, alot of us were rock fans, who also occasionally listened to Public Enemy, NWA, Run DMC or LL Cool J. Now it seems there's a majority of teens who listed to Kanye & 50 etc, who won't give rock the time of day.
CD will own in the 25+ white demo. Everything else would be West. I'd guess

PacMan Jones just got reinstated.. That's absurd, how does an indefinite suspension only last 4 games?! WTF? Should have been the rest of the year at the minimum. Now, he's right back into the playoff race fresh & not banged up.
