Welp, AEW signed Bryant and Punk. Now WWE just released Brey Wyatt (Mike Rotunda's son!), the best, most interesting and original wrestler since... Bryant and Punk. They said they couldn't afford him, even though they're making ridiculous money off the Peacock deal.
It's obvious they don't care about wrestling anymore, only their media content and merchandising. If it wasn't for their library, WWE would be out of business right now. The ratings are at an historic low, like early 90s, and now their house show attendance (pre-covid) is plummeting and costing more money than they're bringing in, which never happened before.
The Kahn's are okay with losing money to build up the brand, and are going to be profitable a year earlier than expected.
The thing with Wyatt is that they always booked him horribly. He'd always lose the big match or just get stuck with some weird angle. He's a "star" but not on the level of even a Randy Orton.
Yeah, WWE is coasting on the licensing and other deals (like the Saudi blood one) now. Nothing will change unless Vince dies imo.
It'll fun to see Punk back in the wrestling ring. I'll just say this on Bryan though, I don't blame WWE for him leaving. It sounds like he did all he could/and or wanted there in WWE and just moved on. Nothing wrong with that, just business. I just hope he doesn't take any insane bumps or chances in AEW given his injury history.

If they demand I get a third shot they're paying me to do it. They're offering people money to get vaccinated now. It's not fair.
I'll get the 3rd shot if it's offered since I'm in a higher risk group. But yeah on the offering of incentives to get shots. It's fucking insane and mind boggling to me. Get the shot so you can stay safe and not spread it to others. There shouldn't be some carrot dangled to do something so simple.

Florida had 21,000+ covid positives today. I personally would have waited before opening stuff back up in May (or whenever that was) and telling everyone that they didn't need to wear masks. They did fuck that part up since they are now doing the reverse message.

GNR are so fucking lazy.
This has to be said. From the clips I looked at here, they just looked like they were phoing it in. And it just looked like such a boring, listless performance.
It's just kind of sad. Other bands exist as just a touring band but even they seem to give a shit more than GNR at this point.

LOL, cmon man you're smarter than this to fall for Tucker's BS. The Republican Secretary of State has certified the results multiple times and they have people on the ground to count, etc. And they are whole lot more reliable than Tucker Carlson.
For those who don't know, Carlson got sued (technically FNC) and their defense was he more or less makes up shit.

As many have said, there's just too much stuff in the final version. It's overwhelming and not in a good way. Should have left it as is instead of dumping whatever it was on it.

As a hardcore fan in the late 90s-early 00s....this shit was really frustrating.
They weren't even trying.
When a major band(ANY band) is several years into an attempted comeback and new album, if the public doesn't know the names of the band, you're doing something wrong and need to go back to the drawing board.
Hell...some hardcore fans didn't even know the names of these people.
He couldn't get over the loss of Slash and talked about having to rebuild the whole thing from scratch.
He had his new Slash!! He literally fell into his lap! How the fuck he didn't realize this I will never know.
The iconic imagery can seamlessly switch from Axl with his arm around a chain smoking top hat to a KFC bucket and mask.
Buckethead joining was his supposed dreams of moving forward with GNR into the 21st century come to life.
The lineup at this point is so good that its virtually a supergroup.
One of the problems....
Our of....
Buckethead
Finck
Huge/FortusSomebody has to go....flip a coin if you have to. It's redundant and makes it seem like The Doobie Brothers onstage. We found out later on that there was no "grand vision" behind it....Finck wanted back in, forced his way in at the last second, and Axl didn't want to fire anyone.
Fire someone.
Image wise it needed to revolve around Axl and Bucket....and push Tommy's comeback as well.
The promo...other than Axl who doesn't like doing this stuff...has to revolve around Tommy and Brain. The Bucket character ok but in small doses.
They needed REAL management.
They needed an Azoff style manager who's not interested in a reunion.
The army of Yes men and housekeepers and janitors killed them. New GNR wasn't taken seriously by anyone in the camp. Not even a single picture was taken of the lineup that recorded the album.
This post needs to be read more. Thanks for bringing it up really. I mean, all he really had to do was give an interview with a reporter (cough KURT LODER) and introduce the guy and maybe crack a few lighthearted jokes about how he replaced one hatted guitar player with another one.
On the 3 guitar thing: they never needed a 3rd guitar player. Not sure why they felt like wasting the money on that slot. Plus from everything I've read is that Paul Huge is not really a great guitar player. Probably better served as Axl's songwritng buddy.
Oh this seems minor but on that VMA appearance, he really should have ditched the Football jersey attire. It just left a bad image.

This song out of all the overproduced messes on the album is one of the worst. I dug the 2001 or 2002 versions. Then I listen to the album atrocity and it just makes me shake my head. It's like he took whatever was great about the song and buried it under layers of production and sound.
#549 Re: Guns N' Roses » Wtf happened to…Chinese Democracy (song) » 254 weeks ago
This song was great at HOB and Rio.
Unfortunately... for reasons unknown...over the next 7-8 years they tried to forcefully turn it into an epic that it simply can't be.
The Village Sessions leak allowed the fan base to hear it how it was always supposed to sound.
The album version is unlistenable.
This. Sometimes a catchy rock tune is just that. Adding all that other stuff didn't help at all. That intro on the album doesn't do anything.

Yeah, Cosby got fucked over (in regards to his constitutional rights) and that's why he's out of jail. I think he's guilty of all those horrible things but he has fifth amendment rights too. And there was clearly a deal with the prosecutor at the time.
