#561 Re: Guns N' Roses » Axl's net worth....Article Sept 2012 » 712 weeks ago

How do they come up with these numbers and how do they account for what they have spent/squandered or alternatively invested and increased.  The reality could be vastly different from those figures.

I have no doubt Axl has earned shit loads throughout his time but I doubt he has anything near that amount at the moment.

So is this like a charity gig?  If so good on them.

Re the Lebeis',  to play devils advocate, perhaps now that the buck rests with them they are less likely to obstruct and obfusicate things knowing their ass is on the line. Also maybe there is dollars in it for them too( not this gig), so it's also in their interest to get Axl up off the canvas, self interest can be a very motivating thing.  Maye they are prepared to risk upsetting Axl with a few things if there's the chance of a dollar in it for themselves.

Oh well if it gets the job done and gets the hermit out using his talent good luck to them.

Exactly what I thought - holy shit its a big photo of the band.  Nice!

Gotta get myself to Vegas (and the US in general) one of these days.  Would love to see GNR or some other large band whilst there too.

That looks pretty bloody good is that better quality than any other copies out there already? I will have to compare it to mine.

#565 Re: The Garden » Lance Armstrong » 714 weeks ago

From my understanding they have all basically systematically doped for years, it was almost like an open secret.

I remember when I first became aware of it I was very surprised.  My old boss used to be right into cycling, he used to have Lance Armstrongs coach as his coach,
Paid something stupid like $10,000 per month for the privilege. I remember we were talking about cycling and he was the one that said to me that most of them systematically dope and it was his opinion that they should just legalize it for everyone.

I had a fucken great time at the Perth gig and yeah it was cool seeing them do WTTJ too. As the other guys have said Slash is playing better than ever and the whole set has some real energy about it.

I like the way they describe the setup as a bit of a thunderdome, that sums it up pretty well. We had an awesome view. I've now decided that if both these guys and NuGNR were playing on the same night, I would choose the Slash gig.  It's cheaper, more intimate, less overblown and drawn out and simply put - better value for money. My only dilemma was when to take a piss break as there were no dead patches in the set.

Well the Perth gig is at Metropolis City which is a large club that has capacity of apprx 2000 people, so no seats.

You gone stick Saul into the name hat?!

Would you believe that I actually had the wife agree to let me have Saul as the second name if it was a boy! But it was a girl.

We now have a pidgeon pair so that's probably it, so I missed out on getting any GNR names in.

Cheers Alex. The whole thing is pretty unreal.

This week is awesome, fantastic day today and I am really hanging out for the gig too, Slash is playing so well from all reports and so much of his stuff connects with me, just wish I could indulge in his live stuff more regularly.
