I agree about Superbad, I didn't think it was all that great. Not up there with Fast Times, Breakfast Club or American Pie as far as high school movies. Buying beer was funny, and a few good scenes & lines like you said.

Any reason the "Date posted" stamp was done away with??  Before it would say "Posted on 8/22/08 at 10:15am"  Now it just says "Posted 41 hours ago".

Not a huge deal, but I kinda like the other way of seeing when the post was made.

I got to wondering over the weekend, anyone think that maybe they are waiting it out for a singer to finish his current duties (Kid Rock, Kravitz, Buck Cherry, Chris Robinson).

Maybe they are in agreement on it, but the singer is currently in a band & on tour, so they are awaiting it to end to get together, practice & announce it.  Just a thought.

Wow, a bunch of suburban college kids protesting, there's a shock. Likely they're from Boulder & went because they had nothing better to do. You can either be a leader or a follower in life. I like when they ask them "What's your message" and all they could do was give the finger and say "Fuck" and awful lot. We get these same assholes come here to protest Mumia Abu Jamal & know nothing about the case. I remember the 2000 Republican convention was in Philly & this college kid was screaming and cursing like a little crybaby right at this police officers face and it was incredible to see the cops patience to hold back and not punch him in the face.

What were they screaming in the second vid "Fuck Fox News" or "Puff Puff Give"??

Pretty funny clips though, thanks for posting.

Ouch, that really sucks. I have a feeling NYG & SD are going to be bad this year. Just a hunch.

Talkers: Big haul with Barbie

David Hayes caught a state record-breaking channel catfish with his granddaughter Alyssa's Barbie fishing rod. Big haul with Barbie

ELKIN, N.C. | David Hayes' granddaughter just asked him to hold her Barbie rod and reel while she went to the bathroom. He did. And seconds later he landed the state record channel catfish at 21 pounds, 1 ounce.

Alyssa's father had bought the pink Barbie fishing rod for Christmas, and she had caught a few bluegill before her grandfather hauled in the catfish.

The Winston-Salem Journal reported that the catch Aug. 5 in eastern Wilkes County has been certified as a record by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.

Hayes and his granddaughter have been fishing in the pond behind his house since she was big enough to hold a pole.

Hayes said his granddaughter worried he would break her rod.

He landed the 21-pound fish on a 6-pound test line. It was 32 inches long, 2 inches longer than the rod.

The electoral College was and still is designed to give strength to smaller states aand areas, and give them more meaning in an election. Otherwise, politicians would basically visit larger cities like NYC, LA, Chicago etc to get their votes, isolating states like Iowa, Louisiana etc. It really dates back to pre-media days, when politicians traveled by horse & carraige later by train. I suppose it also neutralizes the home state factor as well, if a gov from NY got 80% of the NY vote, it would still only count as it's 31 or so electoral votes. There are critics who argue it isn't needed anymore since alot of Candidate stops are televised. I think it's one of those things that will just go on & never be overturned. Partly because parties are afraid they'll shoot themselves in the foot (Overturn it thru ammendment then years later have their candidate lose as a result of the popular vote, when they would have won the college)

While it would make a good ticket, and is a certain shame it didn't happen in 2000, I don't think it's happening. Colin Powell is retired from politics, partly because his wife wanted him to get out of it, and partly because George W Bush drove him crazy. Further evidence Bush flushed the GoP down the toilet.

Personally I think McCain will end up taking Tim Pawlenty. Mainly due to process of elimination. Romney is a plastic joke who belongs on The West Wing on NBC, Lieberman is more boring than a piece of cardboard and would alienate conservative Republicans who just wouldn't vote, Ridge is similar plus wouldn't bring PA, Palin is still interesting, but I don't think he'll choose her, which leaves this Tim Pawlenty and though I haven't heard much about him lately Charlie Crist of Fla probably could help.

All of them. This whole "common man", John Edwards "my dad was just a farmer or mill worker or whatever the fuck" lame ass shit is all fucking bullshit. They need to stop pussyfootin' around the issue, and stop trying to tell me, the American people, and the world how they understand the working man. None of them do. It's all playing to the working class, because they are GULLIABLE.

Dude, fuck all you guys. Gas was a buck 47 when Bush took office. It went up to over $4. That WOULDN'T have happened if a Texan didn't take office. And we won't goto war with another country to get credit cards decent contracts overseas like with did with Dick Cheney & Haliburton, so open your fucking eyes assholes. It's about common sense & rationale. Also, Delaware is tax free shopping. ie something that's $100 cost $100, not $107, so Delaware does something right. And Biden is probablyh the ONLY Senator who's net worth is less than 1 mil.

Is McCain a bad person NO. But Geroge Bush royally ruined the Republican Party as Randall Flagg knew it, and it's over. 2006 Democratic Senate, 2008 Democratic PWhite House. Bank It. Time for GoP to rethink their agenda because they're fucked!!

Joe Biden is about the furthest thing from an "Elitist". Plus he'll say whatevers on his mind, for better or worse. But I think people like that kind of guy. Quick witted.
