If she had something to do with his death, she should get life in prison.
Life in Prison?? Really? No "personal" accountability on this one?
Honestly, someone needs to make an example of these teen 'stars' who do nothing but cocaine and partying.
God did. Or Darwinism, whichever you believe. Take a look at Heath Ledger.
It's about ownership & personal accountability. He obviously had a drug problem & it's unlikely someone put the Oxycontin into him unknowingly & even if so it's not likely that can be proven. If people are going to mix meds together to get high, or even do any heavy drugs death is a factor they are playing with. Don't blame Mary Kate Olsen for it..

Actually that's another I forgot to mention & disagree with. The Departed. I thought that was awesome. Best movie since Pulp Fiction or Fight Club probably for me.

Yes, but don't set your expectations all that high. He's right about the "inside jokes", it does seem pretty ad-libbed. Plus, the script & hi-jacks are pretty weak. Instead of 1 big heist, it's a more like a few different heists. They're not as good. 13 is a little better, & back to it's original intent. They give the smaller characters more time as well. I liked the first one alot, & think the sequels are ok, but just that, ok. Some people think they are atrocious, & I can understand why. Be warned.
I didn't like Crash because it tried to deal with stereotypes, but used stereotypes. Crooked cop, Sandra Bullock as fearful prejudiced rich housewife, black theives etc.. Just an overload of every extreme stereotype. Came off as plastic to me.

Agree wholeheartedly with Crash.. All the hype for the Oscars, I watched it, it was really pretty bad. A movie about racial stereotypes by using stereotypes is pretty weak. Never understood the hype. Gotta disagree with Monster & Oceans 12 & 13. Monster was good IMHO, Charlize Theron played it really well. Oceans 12 & 13 were just pretty bad sequels, not sure I'd call them "Highly overrated", I think everyone says they were pretty bad. That'd be like calling American Graffiti 2 (or whatever) or Blair Witch 2 Highly overrated.

Cool, I didn't realize it was out already. Surprised they didn't wait another week ro two for Batman to die down.
#5876 Re: The Sunset Strip » CC Deville meets Motorhead on new cd. » 929 weeks ago
Don't know about CC, but Mike Inez would be cool to hear with Lemmy. I'm not much of a Motorhead fan, but I'll check out a song or two from this to see Inez's contributions.
CC Deville is actually something like a classically trained guitarist.. I agree I'm not sure about him on Motorhead but I wouldn't say it isn't possible that it's interesting.
#5877 Re: The Sunset Strip » Ferrell and McKay developing 'Anchorman 2' » 929 weeks ago
^^ Yeah, because Will Ferrell keeps starring in those crappy movies!!
Seriously though, that new movie he's in "Twins" or something looks awful. Same shit, different script. He's gotta start branching out. He should do a 'Vacation' type movie where he's trying to be a good dad, that could be monstrous.
#5878 Re: The Sunset Strip » How Will We Categorize Our Current Decade of Music? » 929 weeks ago
I'd say it's like the 80's. New-Wave was then, emo is now. Korn Limp Bizkit POD were popular early on, whereas Poison, Bon Jovi & Warrant were only popular for the last 3-4 years. There were some legit bands, GNR Replacements, & underground (Pixies), while now there are some legit bands & lesser known also. I like the Killers btw.
#5879 Re: The Sunset Strip » METALLICA Discussion » 929 weeks ago
Plus Rick Rubin is an awesome producer. He's gets it out of people, and pushes them to their limits. (As happened with VR who later opted to work with someone else & release the album quickly) he steps into the first session, and from what I've heard, he says "You got three songs. Needs more work" and waits & works on those three etc. Then they come up with more, and he says some are ok. Then they come up more & more etc, and he takes the best out of all of them. He's produced kick ass albums from everyone like RHCP (BSSM) & Slayer, & Weezer to Jay-Z, Johnny Cash, and apparently well received albums from Dixie Chicks & Niel Diamond.

My problem with St Anger is the song structures...every song is too long and goes no where. they have the occasional cool riff, or ok hook...but then it just never develops into a structured working song. It sounds like a tapped jam session where like you'd take some of those jam ideas and make them into a workable song latter!
That's what I was referring to. I think it had to do with working on a Mac & just copying riffs here & there & pasting them all over the place. It doesn't seem to have much of a flow, just start/stop/start/sop/start/stop. This riff/that riff/this riff/another riff/another riff/that riff/this riff/another riff/that riff.
