#5911 Re: Guns N' Roses » POLL: BH Returning? » 930 weeks ago
I voted no just because I don't think it'll happen. A tour with BH would be that much better, but I still think he's out. Part of it I wonder is if BH doesn't want to be back in GnR with Axl's issues & notorious latenesses & all. Some people don't want to be a part of stuff like that. He might be one of them.

To me, the game changes everything. We're getting the first officially released GNR material since Oh My God.
I agree, so it's almost like a gauranteed future leak... but really doesn't change my hopes for CD. I just want to hear this 1 song.
When does RB2 come out anyway??

calling Shackler's Revenge the first release from the album.
Well, it's something!!
Surprised the heck out of me. I didn't think it was happening.

^^ Yeah, Marino & Jim Kelly didn't pull this stuff. Montana was a different story because the 49ers had a likely budding superstar on the bench & wanted to give Young the start. As for Jordan, I didn't mind him retiring & coming back the first time, although he must have been very young, like 31 or something. But he had things going on with what happened to his father that summer. The Wizards though was pretty bad.
#5915 Re: The Garden » Favorite Stand-Up Comedian » 930 weeks ago
Those are not accusations. Some of his material are basically blueprints of Hicks material.
I know, I've seen it on youtube. "Accusations" is probably not the right word. Even still, I still find No Cure hysterical.
#5916 Re: The Garden » Favorite Stand-Up Comedian » 930 weeks ago
Chris Rock. His HBO specials were instant classics. Especially the first one from 96 or 97. ("Toss my salad") That & Bigger & Blacker ("Cracker assed cracker" "Robotussin" "Trench Coat Mafia... I saw a picture of them. There was 8 of 'em. I ain't have 8 friends in high school. I don't have 8 friends now!!")
Awesome stuff. Favorite routine was Dennis Leary 'No Cure for Cancer'. I know there's accusations he stole alot from Bill Hicks on that. But as russtcb said, Leary's to me was hysterical. Shaped alot of my life & friends discussions in the 90's as well. We'd quote that all the time.
I always wanted to watch a Dane Cook standup to see how funny he is. He seems funny for a few minutes, then annoying. Once he took off I said he will be the Andrew Dice Clay of the 2000's. For those who lived thru Dice, he absolutely exploded in 1989-1991 like no other comedian ever. His popularity was greater than Dane Cook's. Then, by 1992 he was the one trick pony who was no longer funny. Although his 'The Day the laughter Died' was great. If you can find it online, listen to humpbacks & Hour Back, Get it.. I will say this about Dane Cook, he hosted SNL back in 2005 ( i think) well before he took off, I had no idea who he was, but his monologue was the funniest monologue I have seen on that show. Too bad NBC doesn't allow their stuff on youtube, I'd love to see that again.

Ashame, cancer is a terrible disease & bad way to go. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. 53 is too young to go.
#5918 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » RUMOR: Royston Langdon is Velvet Revolver's new singer » 931 weeks ago
I doubt it too, but it's really only 1 album. With Royston Langdon, I can't imagine they'll have that big a tour. Even with Scott their shows were pretty small venues. It'll sell even less if its the Spacehog guy.

They should choose a real singer from that night. Great voice.

That It's So Easy clip was terrible singing. Spacehog had a good hit, didn't hear anything else off the album. I'll give it a chance, but will be a bit let down if true. Could have done way better, even Kravitz I'd rather see. Or the guy from Days of the New.
PS. Listening to Rooster now, not as bad, but not very good either. Actually just got to the heavy part now, it is really bad.
Ughhh, bad choice if true. I'll still hold out hope & give it a chance, not sure he can write good lyrics though.
