#51 Re: Guns N' Roses » Song #2 (Unknown Title) » 887 weeks ago
He could say its not on CNN and you and a few others would claim it is. Like I said we have numerous people that claim to have heard prostitute said its not this untitled song. NOT ONE person yet has claimed to have heard prostitute and said this untitled track is prostitute. So your logic is faulty. And when if we finally get to hear prostitute and this song is not it, I guess you will need your hearing checked since this was not a buckmaster song right?
So unless one person that has either worked on prostitute, a band member or someone that has leaks confirm since is prostitute then its not. Because so far the few people that have heard the song say this isnt it
Hell people were claiming this i love wehn it first leaked til I shot that down by emailing Patty Hood.

Buckmaster did more than one song, he juts named prostitute as being one of them.
But you are right about your other post. most gnr fans dont want to believe this is prostitute. I still think its a great song, but I think there are better songs than prostitute of the leaks.Out of his own mouth, he worked on the following tracks:
The Blues
Madgascar
There Was A Timeand:
*drum roll please*
Prostitute
We dont even know this is his works, it could be Beltrami for all we know.
Who did the orcharation for IF the world? It sounds the same as the untitled track and madagascar using that logic I guess IF the world is prostitute right./ I love how people can claim oh this work on the song is from buckmaster when no one ever heard of the guy before his work on CD and I bet one even has heard of any of his work outside of CD or could tell the difference
All I know is we have had a few people who have claimed to have heard prosttute say untitled is not the same song. NONE one that has claimed to have heard prostitute has stated untitled is prostitute.
so unless those people who have heard it, a few leakers, the classic rock guy from the podcast and someone who claims to work for the label are all lying or mistaken it seems the song is not prostitute.
Here are the facts as we know them right now.
We have had people shoot down the theory this is prostitute, we have not gotten one person to verfiy this is prostitute, only guesses it might be.

Listen to the arrangements right before and after the 2:00 mark. If that isn't Buckmaster, I'm Tammy Faye Baker.

Well if it does turn out to be prostitute, which would be a disapointement since is supposed to be one of the strongest songs on the album, at least we will know who is lying about having unleaked songs and what not. But like I said, until its proven wrong ill believe the person who claims to work for the label and taht guy from classic rock mag from the podcast that its not prostitute.

^^^^^
These leaks we got are from 2004 at the most. Prostitute when Buckmaster worked on it was around that time or a year or so later, so at that point the song was still 4 mins. Like I said, a person that works for Universal said its not prostitute, that is good enough for me. The song by the way buckmaster described it is not how track 2 is at all. There is much more edivence against the song being prostitute than there is for. Hell when the song first leaked people thought it was This I love til I shot that down when I asked Patty Hood. So they then guessed its prostitute. People would still be claiming this song is This I love If i never got an answer to my email to patty
Its end of story its not prostitute so lets just move on.

madagas wrote:Neemo.....I am not reaching at all and more than one person sees the Prostitute theme in the words and lyrics....geesh. I also gave 3 or 4 other reasons why it most likely is Prostitute, you guys have nothing but Dave's cryptic messages and well, nothing! I am sorry people don't have basic hearing, listening and reading comprehension skills. The sky is red my friend. Why? Because I think so.....Now, the song may not be named Prostitute but the lyrics and the few lines I mentioned clearly refer to someone selling themself out like a Prostitute. Whether you see that or not is immaterial.

Madgas wat are you rambling about? You gave 3 or 4 reasons why this song is prostitute and I only gave a cryptic message? Let me try this again.
This is why the song IS NOT PROSTITUTE.
#1 FOUR people that have heard the song prostitute have said this is not it. ONE of which works for UNI. The guy on the webcast who heard prostitute even said that song isnt prostitute.
#2 Prostitute is a 4 min song this track is over 6 mins, do the math.
#3 Prostitute is said to be a rocker and its like fire and ice. This song is neither.
#4 Prostitute is also said to be one of the stongest songs on the album, while this track is good its not the best of the leaks which it would be if it was prostitute.
#5 the only reason people think its prostitute is bc one lyric from the song MIGHT be prostitute, that still does not make it the title of the song.
So once again this song has been confirmed that its not prostitute.

It was between The Blues and Madagascar but I went with The Blues.
I still think track 2 is better than 3 of the tracks still remaining on that list but it seems like I'm in the minority.
No your not. I think its just this board. Look at the CD.com poll
New Guns N Roses Song #1 - #2 - #3 June 18th

#58 Re: Guns N' Roses » Highlights (and Lowlights) of the Lyrics on the CD era material » 887 weeks ago
The opening line of Song 2 could use a polish, not a fan of forever and a day.
The stardust and street of dreams in the Blues seems like an odd choice but the outro is nothing but brilliance.
Madagascar though is to Axl what Waterloo was to Wellington. His masterstroke.
He could just start the song off with If my intentions....... would anyone really miss the first line? The first line does feel out of place in the song like its out of place
