What a media whore... can't this guy get out of the spotlight?  He's using GNR's name to his advantage in further advancing his career.

The only thing that really surprises me is that this comes almost a year after the album is released.  Are we to believe that people are still buying this album and hearing songs for the first time?

If not for the terrible American beer, Maui would be the perfect honeymoon destination.

why? its one of the most popular beers up here? brewed and distributed by Molson hmm

It still tastes like crummy American beer.   18

Guys, I've been in Maui for a week now, and I gotta say, lots of booze, but the beer is terrible.  Only things remotely tolerable are Sam Adams and Michelob.  Everything else tastes like the inside of a toilet.  Of course, I do enjoy that I can buy my beer at a convenience store.  Moving from Newfoundland to Alberta, that's one of the things I miss most.

While I'm in the US, I'm sticking to the "imports" like Moosehead and Molson.  Funny that I won't even touch those while I'm home.  I like microbrewery beer the best at this point.  I like to visit the local pubs and try their own brews.  Some of them are really really good (anyone ever visit a Brewsters?).  If I'm buying a case, it's always Keith's or Steamwhistle.  If I'm in an international mood, I go with Stella Artois, or the Stella Leger if I feel fat.

Finally, Taylor Swift won her first-ever MTV Video Music Award and she had her triumph literally snatched from her hands by Kanye West.

Kanye west taylor swift MTV VMA Video Music Awards

Just as Taylor began telling MTV viewers how much winning best female video meant to her, Kanye West ripped the microphone from her grasp and gave an outraged shout-out to one losing nominee.

"Taylor, I'm really happy for you. I'll let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!"

Cameras cut to Beyonce, who sat in the audience with jaw dropped in disbelief. Meantime, Taylor was literally speechless as Kanye gave her the microphone back and marched off stage. The audience booed. Feeling the awkwardness of the lingering moment, MTV VMA producers cut to a taped video clip of "30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan and rapper Eminem while Taylor tried to continue her acceptance speech — but couldn't be heard. Her mike was cut off. Giving up, she strolled off stage.

This is beyond crazy.  That Beyonce video wasn't even that good.  The guy's an embarrassment.

IMO, there's no New GNR/Stones Conspiracy.

People looking for shit will find shit. Fact: GNR in 2006 was amazing. Any band should've been honored to share the bill with them.

I'm sure I read an article in 2006 or 2007 that had quotes from Mick saying that he thought he was getting a reunited band and when he heard otherwise he was disappointed.  Nothing about saying he didn't want the band there.

Not even sure if it was the 2006 shows or the rumoured Oct. 07 show, but I do remember reading something about it.  I think I would've posted it on the old site.

In any event, I'm sure he and Keef would've been disappointed.  They've endured their differences and are friendly to guys on both sides of the split.

Even though this is loosely related to GNR, It doesn't belong in the GNR section.
