This isn't really a fiscal issue though. I've heard 4th quarter referred to as Oct - Dec far more than as a fiscal calendar, especially by those not in finance. Either way, it really doesn't matter. It's going to come out whenever it's going to come out.

Q1 = Jan - Mar
Q2 = Apr - June
Q3 = Jul - Sept
Q4 = Oct - Dec
At least that's how the rest of the world operates.
While I still don't think it's going to come out, I'm officially upgrading to interested from skeptical.

The album has a better chance of coming out this year than he does of returning. I don't think the album is coming out either.

I'm not sure if the Skywalker reference was to me or not, but I'm not really whining...I'm just not ready to get excited yet. I hope this all works out and the album comes out this year. Either it will be great or it should lead to a reunion...either way, I'm happy. I've always been all for releasing the album...I just don't believe it's actually coming out and won't until I see it. This game doesn't change anything.

Even they refer to it as new GNR. Funny. Well, here's to the beginning of something...whether it's the beginning of Chinese Democracy or the beginning of the end of the new lineup is the new question.

Worst happens we get a brand new song deemed fit to feature in a commercial game, ie. it's good.
That's really enough for me.
Not every song on these games is good. Good isn't a requirement - the goal is to add something that will help it sell more copies. The name Guns N' Roses will do that. The possible backlash is when people find out it's a song they don't know...it's hard to say how they would respond. Not everybody is going to be happy. If this is a "test the waters" move, it could be a more negative move than a positive one.

This is a start, be great if "first single from the long-awaited Chinese Democracy album by Guns N Roses" followed. Not holding my breath of course, but it would be cool.
Isn't that what the Harley ad said about Better? I wouldn't get excited no matter what is says, but that's just me.

The cries were loud, and you can bet the GNR camp recognized it...
I've seen a few people make a lot of posts about him. Pretty substantial difference.
Do we really KNOW it's a BH tune?
Does he have to sign up here and swear on a stack of bibles its his tune? How much more proof is needed?
He's all over the tracks we've already heard and clearly wrote a chunk of them, yet we're gonna be in denial regarding one more tune?
I have no doubt that the song came in as a BH tune, the question is where is it today? I highly doubt that Axl took a complete BH song and just added his lyrics to it. There has to be a role for Pitman, Dizzy, at least 2 other guitarists, etc. What it was may not at all represent what it is. That's all I'm saying.
