You're telling me that you honestly think Axl Rose would have a hard time getting pretty much anyone on Earth's phone number? They all know a TON of the same people in the industry. Not to mention the fact that Axl was in NYC at the time where I'm sure Bach's worked with tons of people through the Broadway connection.
So Axl is just sitting around and says "I want to call Baz" and he texts him? I don't buy that for a second.

#6573 Re: Guns N' Roses » Interesting read on Axl, touring, albums in Slash's biography » 921 weeks ago
When I reposted it, I almost re-worded it because I didn't say it quite correctly. I didn't mean to say that Axl was the whole show or anything like that. I just meant to imply that anyone in the business who complains about this type of behavior always has an out: just quit or fire the guy causing the problem. But know one does... because they need that person.
That I'll agree with. You put up with a lot of shit from people that are productive for you that you wouldn't take from someone who didn't have a lot to offer.

Yeah really. I posted this somewhere on the last page but it got lost in all the bullshit:
"As far as Axl's behavior goes, I've always felt the same way: he only gets away with what people let him.
If the band was so bothered by him they could've fired him. If the management thought he was such a pain, they could've dumped him (same for the label). At the end of the day, these type of artists are allowed to do these things because they're essentially everyone else's meal ticket."
I tried to ignore it the first time, but since you posted it again, I'll comment.
I don't think the band saw Axl as their meal ticket. They definately recognized his talent and that he could help them reach the next level (Marc Canter's book sheds some light on this), but I don't think any of them looked at Axl as the savior and that they'd be lost without him.
Hindsight says they were correct too. They've all accomplished more than he has since the band fell apart. He might have had the voice to carry them, but they had the music and the style to support him and kept him from imploding for the most part. As much talk as I hear about Axl being all focused and driven, the past 15 years say otherwise. I know there are other factors, but the fact that he hasn't released an album since TSI and none without the other guys says a lot. Axl was great, but he was hardly alone in making the band what it was.

It was certainly humbling. At least I got the Guns N' Roses question right.

35 and I was shocked it was that high.

Peace,
Intercourse.please dont' tell me to do shit. All I said was I'm not that interested in what Slash has to say. Do you see me posting in the VR section here? No. I am here for Guns, and only that. I don't give a fuck about Slash or VR. Sue me.
HTGTH would suit you better, I thought the more balanced fans came here..
I don't think that's fair. He's allowed to have his opinion. I'll never understand how anyone can claim to love Guns N' Roses and despise Slash or Axl, but that's just me. I don't like a lot of the things Axl has done over the years, but I still respect what he accomplished when he was putting out the music I love.
#6578 Re: The Sunset Strip » Van Halen Tour Imploding?? » 921 weeks ago
I don't remember who did it, but I've seen bands use musicians behind the scenes to play on songs as well (no, I don't mean Milli Vanilli). I don't really have a problem with it as long as the majority of it is live.
#6579 Re: Guns N' Roses » Baz:'AXL ROSE Has Lived A Life None Of Us Could Ever Imagine' » 922 weeks ago
He's probably just meant the shows he was supporting at, there was only one cancellation. I could be wrong but I'm guessing that's what he meant.
That could be it. Don't buy tickets for any future shows unless Baz is opening.

Has Frank ever said anything? I don't think I've ever heard him or read a quote of his. This might be worth checking out just to hear him.
