seriously, its like darth vader walking around with storm troopers all the time
and again he should know who the fuck his opening bands are...i dunno maybe i'm way off, but if it were me i'd wanna talk to the peopel playing the same show as me
am i wrong? and if that happend wouldnt axl say "let up man hes just that kid from die mannequin" or whoever
I agree with you, Axl sure has his quirks. We don't read about Dave Grohl, Eddie Vedder or Anthony Kiedis and their security guard issues backstage. So yeah, Axl's a bit wierd with it all. But I think it can become exaggerated as well. I think Elvis became a bit of a wierdo later in his career, thinking he needed all this tremendous security around him, when really in the early 70's he was basically irrelevant.
Karma for the Darth Vader analogy by the way. Fits pretty well.

^^ I think you're right in a "where there's smoke there's fire" kindof way... but as for this Die Mannequin claim.. I tend to believe the crew's side of things. Band member walks up drunk "heyyy Axl!! What's up!!" Security just pushes the guy aside not knowing who the f*** he even is.

nugdafied wrote:So what's this? Another Batman movie with The Joker in it? What's the deal? It does look good though.
Completely throw out Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin. Go rent Batman Begins. It is a complete re-boot of the franchise by Warner. The story has NOTHING to do with the first Batman movie. The Dark Knight is Batman Begins' sequel. The Joker will be very different in this new movie. He will be much scarier and less "haha" funny for the audience. You'll be more frightened than amused.
The first Batman by Tim Burton kicked ass. And he created a Batman franchise of dark, black aura around it. So I wouldn't call Batman Begins a "complete re-boot". It's a prequel, that's all. Still same look to it, it just showed you how he got to be the way he is, and where he gets his wonderful toys. And also Jack wasn't exactly "Haha" funny in the movie??! He owned the part. One of Nicholson's greatest perfomances.

Regardless of any quicks celebrities might have, they've always got to worry about some wacko doing something crazy to them. That's why Axl's got security guys.
True, but at the same time there's Chris Cornell's humorous encounter with Axl backstage back in 1990:
"So, one day I see a security guard walking him down this long corridor where there's no one except for me, and it's like they want me to see him.
"He's wearing his Axl Rose tennis shoes that say 'Axl Rose' on them and these teeny-tiny, painted-on red shorts, a backwards baseball cap and a fur coat that goes to the floor.
"He just walks by and goes, 'Hey, bro!' And that was it. At that point, it's one of those moments where you think about your life as a comic book."

I saw this on 20/20 or something a few weeks ago. Kinda sad, and the sisters I think are now being home schooled because everybody in school saw & talked about the pictures. I had a classmate who was killed in 9th grade in a car accident while his brother was driving. There was never any talk about drinking or speeding, it was in the winter, on ice & snow. Oddly enough it was almost 20 years ago today, during the Christmas break. Anyway, it would have been kinda sick to have seen actual pictures of him, and I know his brother, Mother & family would have been devastated. Police should really be investigated for leaking crime scene photos like this.
They also had a few other segments, interviewing girls who'd start fights with other girls, then post them on youtube. And the parents of the girl who killed herself. The one with the Myspace Mom, who invented a guy named "Josh" to talk to a neighbors daughter.

No way in hell will McNabb go to this team. Its a complete clusterfuck.
Haha, I was just going to say trade the 2nd rd pick for McNabb, draft a RB or WR in the 1st rd (DeSean Jackson from Cal). And a defensive player in the 3rd rd. That way, PHI can trade that 2nd rd pick & another pick for Chad Johnson from Cinici
You're right though, I think Lovie Smith might be on a short leash next year.
EDIT: Huh, I jjust looked on one of those mock draft websites (I know it's too early but still...) a few of them had the Bears taking QB Andre Woodson from Kentucky. Wouldn't be a bad pick, depending how his skills seem in the combine. Then myb take RB Mike Hart from Mich, or that WR from Oregon who was fast in the 2nd. Heck take a WR from Appalachian State too, they had plenty of speed on that team. A good draft & they could be a year away, myb even sneak a wildcard spot in. Gotta love football, there's always next year

Did Romo really fuck things up because of Jessica?
She was there, but I think that is becoming blown out of proportion, although your right it happened last Christmas with Carrie Underwood being there. Yesterday though, he did jam his thumb on someone's helmet, and I do think that had an effect. However the Eagles did do a good job shutting them down. 1 INT TO fell down, but the other 2 were bad throws & misreading the defenses. Romo's ok, pretty good for a young QB, but certainly not elite. I still can't blame jerry Jones for signing him long term. Look at all the other struggling young QB's out there. Anyway that's why I say Dallas & GB are good teams, just on a roll all season. I don't think their dominant the way NE, Indy & even SD was last year (even though they had that postseason collapse).

^^ On second thought, I didn't realize the Saints were still alive at 7-7-. Throwing a 3rd team into the mix does shake it up a bit, especially one that's on a roll like NO & Minn have been recently. This Buff game is important.
Oh yeah, JJ is a great defensive coordinator. I've said for years PHI has been good because of the defense, and Andy being an 'offensive' head coach, takes away from his legacy. I think Spagnolo will stick around for another year or two, then get a coaching job. Maybe with NYG suceeding Coughlin in a few years, or elsewhere. I don't think he'll get one this off-season, but we'll see. For some reason, owners don't feel JJ is "head-coaching material'. It sounds wierd, but they feel he's a perennial defensive coodinator. He interviewed somewhere a few years ago, and didn't get the job. Then he signed a pretty big (over $1 mil/year) asst coaching contract. It was one of the biggest ever for a coordinator. I think he accepted he will never get a head coaching job after that, and doesn't even go thru the process of it. The defensive coordinator for Tampa Bay is the same way, very similar in age & agressive play calling, and he did the same thing around the same time. Signed a really big contract for an asst coach.

This is a paraphrase but it was close to this "If they [the Raiders] don't care, then why should I?" Several people were outraged and Mike Ditka even said he has no place in the NFL with that kind of attitude. He should care because he was PAID to care. Now he is on a winning team and is "Mr Team-oriented Guy"....bullshit. Let's see how team oriented he is if they lose in the playoffs, which I really believe they will.
Ok, yeah I think I do remember that. That is bad. TO's bad too but I think he's slightly better than Moss as for team oriented. TO just hates losing, Moss just detaches himself when they lose. In Philly there were other things TO was upset about (contract renegotiation, which was BS, but Philly hasn't fared well without him so he did have a point in hindsight). I agree that NE's home field advantage might hurt them, in the cold, wind & snow Moss, Brady & Co will be ineffective, as they will need to rely on short passes & RB's. They still might be good in these conditions, but certainly beatable. Also, if they DO lose in the playoffs, no doubt a controversy ensues that Belicheck emphasized too much focus on going undefeated & not resting players that their focus was taken off making the playoffs & going for the SB.
Well I go from being happy watching Dallas get beat, to my team forgeting there was a game last night. Horrible playcalling, at LEAST 8 drops... Err! Suddenly next week's game against Buffalo has meaning.
Yes & No. The only teams capable of catching NYG are MINN & WASH, but they play each other next week. I think Minn would have to win tonight, lose to Wash, & win the final game, and Wash beat Minn & Dallas, and Giants lose out for NYG to be out of the playoffs. Although, I guess it's possible. Dallas could be resting their players in week 17, but I think they might need the win for Home field adv. Anything can happen. Buff will be tough, it doesn't help to have NE in the final game, isn't much of a cushion, especially being a Thursday game, they won't know how Wash & Minn will do. If it was a Sunday night game, everything would be answered as to whether they need to win or not. Should be interesting. Although, I don't think it matters a whole lot which wildcard spot they get. TB & Seattle are about equal, although I think I'd rather play Seattle. But then GB & Dallas seem about equal too. Always try to finish as best you can though.
Eagles sure surprised even me. Dallas is good, but I think them & GB are just on a roll this year, I don't think either are really 'that great'. McNabb looked good, although I was kinda hoping to see our rookie in the final 2 games. That isn't going to happen since "mathmatically" we're still in the playoffs. Maybe week 17.
