#661 Re: Guns N' Roses » Entertainment Weekly CD Article » 916 weeks ago

I just got on to post this because my issue came in the mail. Great little article. I love the painting of Axl at the beginning. That and the timeline. Can someone maybe get some scans up? This is the kind of promotion and article we need to be looking at in these (still somewhat) early stages.

Really? Your card won't be charged until it's ready for release? In that case, I won't bother waiting till my next pay period. Thanks.

Once again, you can choose "in-store pickup," allowing you the safety of pre-ordering/paying, but giving you the incentive to still pick it up first thing on release day. Even with expedited shipping, you won't get it from Best Buy on release day. Trust me. They're not Amazon and definately not cool like that.

My point being that the credits got it wrong. I'm aware of Pitman's website.

You know, just to throw it out there since it seems to be somewhat a topic of debate, but the Body of Lies credits listed his name as:

"If the World"
Music by W. Axl Rose and Chris Pittman
Performed by Guns N' Roses

I made a mental note of it because it bothered me.

Combining old school with new school, much like the album itself, I'm pre-ordering mine and choosing in-store pickup. That way I'm guaranteed my stuff, it's already paid for, it's set aside for me without being pawed at by dirty customers, and I get to (potentially) wait in line and listen to it on release day, just like old times. It's what I should have done with Priest's Nostradamus. I pre-ordered the vinyl/CD from Best Buy way in advance, only to have it arrive a good week after its release.

Barack Obama is outspending John McCain on television ads somewhere around the ratio of four to one. What if McCain's campaign had a little bit more money to throw behind his attack ads? What if he hired John Woo, Kevin Smith and Wes Anderson to make ads for him?

That just means he likes what I like.

No, I understand that. I thought your post was very interesting.

It worked for the Eagles. I can see GN'R going that route with Azoff at the helm. Imagine the rewards they'd reap if they were to have complete financial control of their own reunion.
