i picked baltimore to beat indy
I was going to do that with Philly. Place 16 points on them & hope for the upset. I missed a week a couple weeks back & needed to play catchup. I chose against it & figured I'll play it safe until the last weed or two, then go into panic mode if needed & pick some crazy upsets in an attempt to win.
Seems like this thing is like college football, everyone forgets & loses out 1 week, so your better off doing it early like BigBri.

^^ I think DTJ's right. I suppose why not release a 3rd single. Can't imagine it costs very much. Anyway, I don't think we'll hear it very much, if at all. I only heard Last Fight on the radio about 3 times. I wouldn't expect a video. If so, maybe a live one edited from concert footage.

Yep. By that I'm necesarily not saying they should or that I hope they do.. but that I see some writing on the wall, and thing it's going to end. They might only go on 'hiatus' but even if they do that'll probably be 5+ years before another album, so that's basically a breakup & reunion.
IMHO I think they should quickly record & put out an acoustic studio album, similar to Lies. Also cover 2 VR songs on it acoustically, so they'd only need to write about 6 songs.

For me:
Movie: Knocked up. I didn't see alot of movies but this one was really good. Funny, but with a good storyline too.
Music: Didn't buy much, so I shouldn't say.
Sports: Gotta agree with you on the Patriots, I hate to say it but it is pretty easy. Best individual performance though I'd give to LeBron James. He had a game in last years playoffs where he scored something like 28 straight points, and all of Clevelands points in OT. Something ridiculous like that.

Yeah, I left Monday. The flight was at 3pm so I was able to do a few things until around noon & enjoy the weather. It was really nice & warm, so I walked up for a few final pictures of the casino's & the strip. Guess it was a bit of a cold front while I was there. The rain did seem out of place, and it wasn't just a light, quick desert rain either. It was an all day heavy rain. Ugghhhh..

I'm a pretty big VR supporter but even I gotta say it's over. The problem they run into is I think they have a 3 disc contract. I don't think they have enough material for GH or Live, unless they add in Messeges, & a few 1 or 2 of their unreleased covers.
Anyway, I think Weiland would accept being out, and is jonesing to go back to STP. That would be big. I think he'd allow the band to carry on with the VR name, only I'm not sure who they could bring in now either. To go from Axl, to Scott to someone else is now 3 steps down, unless the singer is a really big name and a really good fit. Maybe they could just release a 3rd album with multiple singers, similar to Santana. Regardless, I don't think it will do very much. But yeah, stick a fork in VR, they're done.

Haha, so I'm going to Vegas this past weekend, and with a group of neighbors & friends etc. They kindof do the Vegas thing a little wrong (staying in our casino alot, not venturing out, falling for overpriced "VIP' bullshit)... and I realize this isn't really my thing. Late at night, I think Friday, I use the hotel pc in the lobby to log on to the site & pm the infamous JimBob, located in Vegas. He gives a call Saturday & gives a ton of advice, just do your own thing, visit as many places as you can, hit alot of slots & just roam around etc. A) JimBob, thanks a ton for the advice. I did more the AFTERNOON you called, than the rest of the weekend (Walked the strip, saw the Bellagio Fountain show, Treasure Island etc). B) We figured we'd meet up & grab a drink at the Hard Rock. I gotta say, JimBob's a cool guy. Alot more laid back than I was expecting, only knowing him from his posts and the little I knew about him. We talked a bit, saw Slash's guitar out at the hard rock, and talked about how it is kinda wierd actually meeting someone from this board, almost surreal because your used to only reading each others posts. I think he said he met MikeGuliani from HTGTH & maybe 1 other poster before at a show.
Anyway, it was cool meeting up, just thought I'd write. Also, if anyone ever goes to Vegas, give him a ring. Oh, and also, don't pay for drinks, just gamble a few dollars at the slots for a little bit. They give you free drinks while your gambling. Then cash out once you get it. Worked for me on the second part of my weekend. A little tidbit from Jimbob I picked up on.

In the bands defense he doesn't "say" Baz is licking Axl's ass, the interviewer says it, and he just says if that's what makes him happy, sure.
As for SKid Row, of course they're bad. That's what bad bands do, break up, and continue on without the original members. They can sell 500 tix in old barrooms as Skid Row. If they created a new band, they could barely sell 20 tickets unless the ads say "featuring members of Skid Row" but that's just as bad. Even more so since they'll still be playing the old hits. It's what bands like Foghat, Journey etc do. There's a country & Western place up in the Pocono's in Pennslvania (Burning Hills might know the name of it) that I pass by when I go up there. About 2 years ago I passed it & it said "Skid Row next Friday night" or something. Now, as I passed it, I thought that might be kinda funny, see them play old songs... but had it been a new band, named something else, I would have just driven by & not even thought about paying to see them. That's why they keep the name & continue to tour. In 15 years bands like Matchbox 20, Third Eye Blind, Godsmack might be doing the same thing.

In Eli's defense the same thing happened with QB;'s named Alex Smith, Rivers, Palmer, Leftwich, Vick, Grossman, Marc Bulger ec... Young QB's given the franchise & not doing a whole lot with it right now. Well, Vick isn't young, but he was basically GIVEN the starting job in ATL automatically in year 2, & they let him play no matter how bad he would get.

I hope that this isn't actual facts we might consider war with Iran. That would be an awful awful mistake. Would Bush need Congress' approval to go to war? If so, he'll never get it. Not in an election year. Alot of these senators need to be re-elected & will not vote to goto war.
