Not even president and already flanked by red robed Imperial Guards.

* Letting Perez Hilton know that not only is TWAT not the single, least of all the old school TWAT demo he's linked off of YouTube, but that it in fact rocks anyway. It must be a charmed life to be a fat, talentless loser who spends his time tearing down the creative works of others while hiding behind a created online persona to alleviate the pain of being "the fat queen" in high school.

That's really awesome for your friend, DTJ, I'll definately vote. I trust Zombie's judgment on all things horror. Oh, and nice to see you drop by our lovely new horror movie section. I hope all's well with you.

I actually listened to modern rock radio (!) this morning, but wit no luck. Now that I've got this radio rip, I can end that bad obsession. Still, it'd be cool to catch new Guns on the radio, but I don't know if soon's the word.

The single's stellar production and slamming drums are a huge improvement over the leaks that to this point I didn't even realize we needed. Bumble's guitars are badass, too. And Bucket being higher in the mix ... always a plus. I'm digging the new Axl vocal layers.

Del Toro's "The Orphanage." It's Spanish subtitled but I still found it pretty enjoyable. Original concept with sharp swerves and lots of suspense and great sound effects. Anyone else see this?
The Orphanage was directed by J.A. Bayona, not Guillermo del Toro. Del Toro was only a producer or "presenter." Tarantino often takes on the role of presenter for some of his friends' less-than-stellar efforts. It's also a way to use your clought to get a movie you like better distribution/promotion. What's all this mean? It's artistically meaningless. I'm sorry to use your post to set an example, but there seems to be a lot of confusion as to what exactly constitutes a director and that role plays in the ownership of a finished film. As a filmmaker myself, it's discouraging to hear things like "I was really disappointed in Tarantino after his last movie, 'Hostel.'" 'Nuff said. Del Toro's a visionary. The Orphanage is moderately clever.

I refer to it as the US (United States). The continent is America. The country's nickname, if you will, is America. What the country is is the United States. Like the United Kingdom.

No remixing. No remastering. While a higher quality product is one thing, these are pretty much perfect as is. Re-release them all in new vinyl packages like Metallica did with their "trilogy" right before Death Magnetic. This is gimmicky as all hell, but I know I'll be buying them. See, I can admit my faults. I hope they release these in digipaks at the very least, to replicate that old school feel. The jewel case is so played out.

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx has issued the following update:
"We had a bad-ass show in Tokyo... and there were a ton of cool bands on the bill, but most notably was DUFF McKAGAN'S LOADED.
"So, after running into my friend Richard Stark yesterday, we headed down to a place here in Tokyo and saw Duff play a tiny club... insane. Every song was a 10. I got an EP and it's all I'm listening to right now. If you don't have the EP yet, it's called 'Wasted Heart' and it's a must-have."
Italian news blog Musica Metal recently uploaded video footage (see below) of DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED's performance at the first edition of the Rock Of Ages festival, which was held on September 13, 2008 in Milan, Italy.
LOADED's new five-song EP, "Wasted Heart", was released on September 22 via Century Media Records. A new full-length album will follow in early 2009. The CD was produced by Martin Feveyear and will include such tracks as "Roll Away", "Forgive Me", "Sick", "No More", "Southern Girl", "No Shame" and "Translucent".
"These are purely my songs," McKagan told Billboard.com. "It's probably more derivative of my earlier years of punk rock. It's a good rock 'n' roll band. It's fun, is what it is. There's no real business and no real drama. I'm really into no drama right now," he adds, noting Scott Weiland's recent rancorous departure from VELVET REVOLVER.
In addition to McKagan, LOADED features drummer Geoff Reading (GREEN APPLE QUICK STEP), bassist Jeff Rouse (VENDETTA RED, ALIEN CRIME SYNDICATE) and guitarist Mike Squires (ALIEN CRIME SYNDICATE).
LOADED was formed in 1999 and has morphed several times, releasing two albums: 1999's "Live Episode" and 2001's "Dark Days".

Finnish rock legends HANOI ROCKS have issued the following statement:
"HANOI ROCKS have decided to break up by the end of the year 2008. Michael Monroe and Andy McCoy feel that they've taken the band as far as it can go and now wish to go their separate ways.
"All commitments until the end of the year, including the UK tour starting in London on Halloween, will naturally be honoured.
"In addition, the band has decided to say farewell to their fans by doing a final tour of Japan in the spring 2009 and immediately thereafter wrapping things up with a few nights at the legendary Tavastia Club in Helsinki, Finland where their career originally got started in the 80's.
"November 26th will see the timely release of the first-ever career-spanning HANOI ROCKS retrospective: a two-CD set titled 'This One's For Rock'n'Roll - The Best Of Hanoi Rocks 1980-2008'.
"The band wishes to thank all their fans, co-workers and business partners for their continued love and support throughout the years."
