You're welcome. And yes, I agree on the bit about Axl's vocals. If this is the song you're playing in a crowded room, of all the leaks, this is the one you'd have the casual listener maybe pick up on as GN'R.

Fair enough. As long as you're geeting your daily dose of t&a.

Playboy for the articles 9

Maxim is for illiterate pussies whose mommas won't let them buy a Playboy yet. It's the xXx to Playboy's 007. I'll stick with the classics. Besides, it really is well written. Some of us do enjoy reading the articles after we're done looking at all the other naughty bits. That said, recent stunts like the Alba incident and this Anna Faris cover have started to piss me off.

I've been whispered to that Best Buy "won" the bidding war with a little help from Wal Mart's censorship policy, something Azoff was unwilling to bend on with the retail giant. Apparently CD will be a stickered album.

I just finished off half a pot of coffee. The investigation now continues....

UPDATE: BAFTA/LA is holding a pre-screening tomorrow night in Los Angeles. Me being in New York doesn't help our cause. But word will start leaking out for sure. Tomorrow's "open" screening will bring confirmation.

tejastech08, you're correct. My tipster isn't familiar with the leaks. In fact, the only info I've got is that it's a Guns N' Roses song. I want to stress again, that does not mean new song. This person would only assure me what they heard was Guns N' Roses. Nothing more. I'll keep my ear to the ground and see if I can catch a look at this movie before it hits, too. By the way, I'm a "member" of the press myself, I just don't get passes to every new movie, only what I've been asked to cover. In fact, I've been covering mostly music for the past year or so. Last press screening I went to was Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Before that was Borat, a solid couple of months before its release. Saw two different cuts screened leading up to its release. Each was different. Never saw the final version, although it might have been the same or very close to the last cut I saw. That could even be the case with Body of Lies. We don't know what cut is being shown and what cut will ultimately be released. Remember that Harley ad?

EDIT: I don't really even want to post this to get anyone's panties in a bunch. I am being tipped that the song played over the credits is If the World. I know that's the popular rumor right now, so while I'll stick by that there's been a Guns song heard over the credits, whether or not it's If the World I really can't say. Different source. New to me.

Update: I've been told by someone who claims to have seen an advance/press screening (of which I've attended many, this would be the right timeframe) and confirms that there is indeed a Guns tune played over the end credits. No other details as of yet, including whether or not it was even a new song or just an old standby. But what I'm being told by fairly reliable sources I've used for other things in the past, there is a Guns song in this movie.

You're doing very good so far though. That's a pretty well-rounded list. It depends how broadly you're looking to cover the genre. Maybe you'd like to stick in one specific direction? Like is you want to go with eurosleaze or slashers, or maybe even the classic Hammer or Universal flicks. Even the self-effacing '90s teen revival. Speaking of which, you might want to check out Scream just as a pop culture benchmark if nothing else. Otherwise, your list is fine so far. I dispute the inclusion of Gore Verbinski's Ring remake, but I suppose one could make the same argument for it that I would for Scream. Also look for either Hellraiser or the Karloff Frankenstein.
