I would like to pass on the following info. Today at the Best Buy media holiday kickoff event in Dallas Tx, it was apparently announced that the Best Buy exclusive release was official! The deal was done within the last 48 hrs. GNR management was on hand,(azoff or gould, apparently an english man) they played the group three songs, chinese democracy and two others.I wasn't there, so I couldn't confirm which songs.
But management stated one song would play for the credit roll in the new dicaprio flick Body of Lies. The album will be released on NOV 25.only at Best But. I know the press release hasn't come out yet, but mods I plead with u to give the thread 48 hrs. The ink on the deal is still wet. Its hard to believe but its only 2 months an one day away! Just enough time for the promotion Axl claims a release needs. Stay tuned to the newswire....

Wait a minute... I just got more information
1. They did play the songs for best buy
2. The song is in 'Body of Lies'
3. but there is not a deal as of right now with Best Buy

Body of Lies, the Leonardo Di Caprio film, opens stateside on 10/10/08. By then, we'll know for sure.

I think it's a mixup. GNR is in the DiCrapio movie. It's a porn.
Nah, just kidding. That video on the chinese democracy blog featured music at the end that sounds just a bit like Brain and Bucket. Too little to make a good judgment.

Its not. Seems to me that shack was released to keep the fans busy whie The camp were gearing up for this film. This film will be the real deal... The song didn't leak cos no one knew it was coming..Shack hasn't got a proper itunes release. This song will. We were all to busy with shack tofind out bout this song. They don't want this tune to leak as they plan on selling it to the fans the old fashioned way and if it leaks it will hurt sales so Shack was the red herring the wild goose chase weve been following and in the meantime this never leaked. Also sl was gagged because he was close to leaking this new tune!!!! FACT...maybe

I was seeing the flick anyway, as a fan of Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe. That DiCaprio fellow's proven his salt, too. Fellow paisano and all. Last time GN'R was rumored to have a "new" song appear in a Ridley Scott movie was the infamous re-worked Welcome to the Jungle/Black Hawk Down fiasco. Should be interesting to see how this plays out. This Best Buy "rumor" gains more ground every day.
