#7611 Re: Guns N' Roses » What did Axl consider to be "Big Guns" » 884 weeks ago

Is that a lie or a change of plan though? a lot of things changed between when he said that and when the album was released. If bucket had remained with the band, and dynamics had worked better, they may have recorded countless new songs and that stuff may have been B sides. But it didn't go that way.

It's funny these days we have to name everything, like he has to be bi-polar or borderline-personality or whichever diagnoisis they wanna throw at him. In the past he would have just been considered an excentric genius.

And it kinda sucks that the media likes to throw these labels around, it doen't do any good to fans, axl or those who do have these conditions other than create stigma.

As a fan I hope it's all untrue because it'd be great to have a tour etc, and as a human, well it sucks for Axl or anyone to be that unhappy.

Does axl actually admit to being manic depressive, i didn't realise that.

I wouldn't be surprised if the business relations had been strained by the entire way the saga played out.

If they've sorted it out again now lets hope a tour can get started and GNR can move forward from this episode smile

yeah...seems I was full of shit. Sorry folks. Although pitman did say this:

"He invited me up to his house, like a guest house that was made into a studio, and we wrote music there for like three years just me and him. It was a great neutral zone without people bugging you and a lot of great stuff came out of there." (Chris Pitman, Talking Metal, 11/08/08)

I think maybe i got mixed up!

I mean I agree that humans have fundemtally questionable ethics at times, and I don't doubt that some abuse would occur. But my issue is that in other areas of society we tollerate that risk, and punish those who cross the line in order to reap the benifits, but for some reason on this one issue it's all too hard and too scary.

I'm going to go look for it at my local.

While i do like soundgarden and post 92 stuff as well, I really love the older rock music, and I like that someone is free and unafraid to just belt it out in that classic style!

yeah....I've often felt some people like to keep a person at their weakest too...they don't like it when you get control....

#7618 Re: Guns N' Roses » Who's DJ? » 884 weeks ago

I liked robin's parts on CD, and respect that he has a unique and interesting voice as a guitarist, but I just didn't like what he did with the afd material. I think DJ's style suits those songs better...will be very interesting to see what he does.

I can't wait for some love shows with him, i'm really exicited...just seems like a good fit with everyone else.

So we trust people in our community to have nukes (the gov) but not doctors to cure diseases?
