i was less than impressed..seemed really long with no logical progression
and too many styles for me...justice meets load meets st anger
but that's only first impressions from first listen on the radio
I think it sounds like a mix between One and Welcome home.

The song is Shackler's Revenge. I wasn't aware people were "swearing up and down that it isn't". I'm also reasonably sure it was ripped out of the RB2 game when it was being demo'd in public last week.
There's plenty of good, obvious reasons to believe MSL but I also believe there's a good amount of BS in this story. Now whether he knows it or not is another story.
Well he said that hoarders claim to have had it since the beginning of the year, but it could be BS like you said.

True
But then its obvious that there was some business deal involved. I mean as far as we know - the song is currently exclusive to rockband - and the rockband people were doing a lot of PR about how cool it is that the new game features the first new track from CD and so on. So they won't enjoy this happening. Even though fans get the song sooner and are stoked. I'm just saying business dudes will be PISSED OFF big time by this.
Well I have heard the song, and I'm still going to purchase Rock Band 2. Like I said, if you have interest in RB 2, then you're going to get it whether or not you like Shackler's Revenge.
I do know where you're coming from though.
