Side note, I remember there being a street team for awhile lol. Not sure how official that was. Great to see those old banners.

This thread made me curious about the past. Checked some of my old PMs on HTGTH. Broke out into a cold sweat. Embarrassingly immature.
I was... 16 or 17 when I started posting there. 31 now.
I still lurk here because... it’s nice to get away from the centralized internet (fb, reddit, twitter, etc.)
Plus, I enjoy seeing what you guys have to say. Cheers.

I am interested in seeing how this election plays out.
I feel like the protests have backfired, but... maybe that side has the energy to win the election. It's always hard to get a sense of public opinion and with covid, doubly so. Polls look great for D's. We'll see what happens.
Either way I think after 2020 I will stop following politics entirely. Has been bad on my mental health. Bad for my focus. Seems like both sides are playing with our emotions and with social media, are more effective at doing so.
My fault for reading too much on social media.

I started watching TNG 3 weeks ago. I’ve never seen a Star Trek series before. In season 4 now. Very enjoyable. Will go to DS9 next. Cheers everyone.

I’m in Vegas now and taxi drivers/floor staff are telling me it’s crazy slow. Don’t come here enough to know the difference but... it sucks. Trying to keep the economy going. Young and don’t have exposure to high risk individuals so... yeah. GL everyone. Should be fine in a few months.

I remember walking home with a friend in middle school. He was afraid of SARS. His mom freaked him out about it. I told him not to worry.
People panic. SARS and coronavirus aren’t apples to apples but jeez. Statistically the odds of dying of it are TINY.
The media should blow it up a little to make people aware. But it’s up to people to think statistically and act accordingly. Ask yourself if it’s really something to worry about. 99% of the panic is from people who will not be effected...
I don’t want to say it’s overblown but... it’s driving me nuts lol. Maybe I’m not wired to care.
We should try to contain it.
News about it is fine.
Let’s be calm.
Just imo folks. Hope everyone is doing great/surviving out there. Cheers.
