I hope it's something like that...but I suspect its just the "can't find anyone" delay much like when VR was first formed. Which worries me...as when the band gets inactive...people get back on drugs and it's not good for the longeviity of these guys!
It's not going to be Josh Todd from Buckcherry (even though that would be cool!) as it's pretty clear from slash's novel he wasn't into the sound of Todd's voice...he was going to quit VR at one stage cos of that.

I read that the issue with good old Bob a Spin....was because he printed the GNR interview restrictions contract in the magazine...but i'm not sure if thats true.

I can see that there has been a ton of work into this design. Great job guys.
Only room for improvments I see are:
1. I think something about the color scheme is more taxing on the eyes than the old one. Maybe i'm just old and crippled from too much rock and roll But i noticed in the shackler thread when people use a lof of bold and stuff - the colors against the background can burn into the eyes and it will make it harder for me to post whore as i'll need breaks to rest
2. When selecting "show new posts since last visit" i miss that it used to say what forum the post was in as well as the title from the thread. Thats a little thing I know - but handy when people name theads random stuff like "You'll be amazed at this" - if i can see its in GNR, VR or one of the OT areas I can decide if I want to view it immediately or read some other stuff first. (I tend to log on and check for CD related updates then start playing in the ot areas).
Overall i think maybe I just need more time to get used to it - but I can see you guys are all doing a killer job at keeping this place first-class and making it excellent for everyone. Thanks loads!

Yeah it's pretty interesting. Although to be honest it sounds like its been that way since the old band post the illsuion tour.
There's countless interviews where people say they come to a studio and wait for Axl to be there, or they do or don't know what is happening at any stage. Look at the interview Zakk gave about his involvment....that was all messed up by the lawers and managment and stuff too.
The whole band is definately run like a business in the sence that the band members are employees, but its not a smoothly oiled business in that it seems theres a lot of delays and negotiations over things - like who is in the band - that would be quite fast to orginise you'd expect.

Sucks that I can't pre-order in australia yet when its an aussie band - but then I think it will be all over our CD shops and not exclusive or anything here.
