I have mixed views on this.
My primary thought is that this means the album is comming out. Fuck yeah! I'll take that happening if I have to buy it at the local fruit shop.
My secondary thought is that philosophically it does kinda suck being pushed to buy it at a certain store. It just doesn't seem to be how the marketpace should work to me. As a consumer outside the USA makes it even worse. (see trying to get the DVD version of Baz's Album!).
Tertiary thought is that I guess this is what happens when we download. Axl is only going to release this if he can make a buck from it. (Fair enough too I feel). And if we make sure he can't with downloading - then he'll get his bucks from the corporates like Walmart who can and will pay him.
But hell yeah - the album may actually be comming out!!

Kickass record. Not too happy about the limited edition coming out so far down the line for those of us who bought the album when it was initially released. I actually bought it to support Baz, and this kind of double-dipping pisses me off. I would have gladly spent a few extra bucks to buy a limited edition if it had been either released at the same time, or announced as forthcoming when the regular edition was released.
Yeah i agree about that. Didn't help that then the special edition was very hard to buy - especuially if you live outside the usa. I'd have much prefered he just release the DVD on its own.

I actually think this will be a wise single choice now. At first i'd expected a more traditional sounding track like IRS, and while the classic rock and traditional buyers would dig that and play it, it might be a little too generic for the younger fans and mainstream media who would report it as a "15 years for this nice average song" kind of report.
Shackler's is much more edgy, and sounds at home with modern music and is likely to attract younger fans - but I don't think it will alienate the older crowed and classic rock cloud totally..as those folks are mostly already going to get CD from GNR's previous efforts rather than a single they hear. And if they 2nd single is something more traditional that could sway any nay-sayers.
Just a theory. But i can see SR working to increase the fan base.

I played it for a couple people at work who aren't really fans and they thought it was kick-ass.
Yeah i had a similar reaction from a guy I played it to who I know hates GNR and Axl normally...so it's definately a good sign of appeal.

I don't care who plays on this in the sense that no matter who it is, the song is great. Knowing who plays on this will not determine if I like this song more or less.
Totally agree. The song is cool 
I'd be surprised if Ron isn't on there though...but i've been wrong about such things before. All I can say over all is

What i think is being underrated in the talk is Axl....the hook is killer...simple but powerful lyrics...totally owns the song over all the chaos.
Love it and its been on repeat now for hours lol

Damn, I thought this was gonna be something about Shackler's!
Yeah me too...i thought it was like an official single release date thread or something fun.
Instead its the potential for MSL to be doing something cool leak related...and the usual masturbation from some others who pretend they are spies....
