The inclusion of Robin when talking about GNR band members stood out for me. I guess BBF didn't get the memo tongue

there was one interview where richard inferred he was still a member as well

i'm guessing they dont know robin's status either ... and are assuming that he's in until its proven that he's out

And for me, that speaks to more of a business model than a band.   I'm not complaining, or even criticizing anyone in any way, either.  Assuming it's true, it just seems odd that everyone assumes a band mate is still in until proven otherwise...more specifically, the implied lack of communication that entails.

That said, Ron gave some great responses, especially "hopefully after Chinese Democracy..."

how much does the album cost on itunes? how do i sign up 16 are itunes tunes that mp4 crap? or are they mp3's? i'm so stuck in 2005 16

can you buy it in CD format? thats what i would prefer to be honest

When you buy it, the files will be in MP4 / Apple format.  However, you can burn the songs to a CD, then re-import them to your computer as standard MP3 files...Unfortunately, Amazon.com doesn't offer the album in their superior MP3 format.

"Circle" and "Drove" are great tracks, too.

I speak for myself when I say this but any official release from GNR by no means is the end of the road for me.

Hell, I see the release of CD as the floodgates opening around here.  Imagine how much great stuff we'll all have to talk about.  Except most of it won't be based almost completely on random speculation for a change...:haha:   Me, I'm looking forward to talking to everyone - and *celebrating with everyone - when GN'R hits full-force once again.

Simple, I dont believe the album will be out yet.  Im tired of debating it now.. it`ll be out when its out, and a game track doesnt change my opinion, and i dont know why everyone is getting so excited at this latest news when they`ve done more before now and ditched the idea of a release.
im done

I think people are getting excited because it was mentioned that the song is intended to be the first single, which typically means an album will soon follow.  From what I recall, never has the phrase "first single" been used by  *anyone* remotely involved with GN'R before (in this case, Mysteron).

That guy wasn't a journalist, though. He was a guy from newgnr.com who got into E3. So he should know better than to post that shit.

That was my point, although I originally wasn't clear enough.  Before answering any questions on camera, the Harmonix guy should have asked for a pass, credentials, etc. in order to protect himself.  Once he verified that the person asking the questions was legit -  as in, an "on the job," legit reporter (which wasn't the case here) - it's a bit more understandable that he dropped his guard after being told the questions were "off the record."  Again, it's too bad if he sees serious consequences as a result of this...

You have to admit, though, that EW bit was ridiculously vague, rattling off a list of artists to which the guy responded, "we're talking to all of them."  Based on that piece alone, I'd say it's nothing more than rumor and speculation at best.   The whole Rock Band 2 scenario and the timing involved gives it a lot more credibility, speculation or not...

#89 Re: Guns N' Roses » GNR, Rock Band, the VMAs and 4 albums » 895 weeks ago

I'm not sure I buy into the "4 albums at once" part, but I'm honestly most surprised that the VMA rumor might actually have some credibility to it.

Like many here, I feel bad for the guy.  When any "journalist" says "off the record," then that's what it should be.  Yes, the guy made a mistake by opening up to a stranger, but still.  I guess his bigger mistake was not asking to see a press pass or some form of credentials before talking, on the record or otherwise.

Also surprised that the original clip is still up, too.

The last page of the new issue (August 08) spotlights "Next Month" and shows a picture of Axl with the caption "The rise of GN'R - Welcome to their Jungle."

The text below reads:

YOUNG GUNS - Los Angeles, 1985:  A posse of guitar-toting outlaws starts to claw its way to the top of the sunset strip music scene.  Amid rumors that Axl's new Guns N' Roses may finally deliver the long-awaited Chinese Democracy album, Stephen Davis gives an inside look at the formation of the dirtiest, most dangerous - and greatest - rock band of the modern era.
