STP will die in the ass fast though. Scott fucked up the band last time with his drugs. So far this year he has already cancelled a VR tour due to drug and legal issues. Now he thinks crew members are singing on stage with him? His behaviour for the last 6 months has been erratic as hell. I think he'll burn the STP boys again within a year or two and be left wondering what the hell he has done. that's if he doesn't kill himself with his drugs first.

Axl will never share his hard earned royalty rights to the name....that took him 10 years to finally sort out....with much heartache...depression....and headaches....
Agreed. And these are the major things blocking a reunion sadly.
The other issue is CD. If axl was going to release it as is (Robin/Bumble/Bucket) then it wouldn't make sence for Slash to join the band yet. His rejoining would make a ton of publicity for CD and then everyone rushes out and buys an album he isn't on and he gets nothing? Unlikey. Or re-record with Slash? Possible...but more delays would be an issue (although slash can whip up and album fast as hell) - but then who pays for the sessions/remastering etc (I dont think the style would be an issue as Maddy, TWAT, Blues and IRS are basicly UYI songs, anything too vasty different could be come B-sides and stuff ). But the delays and costs of this option are less likely.

Its all so insane. Izzy is Jamming with Duff, who is still in a band with Matt and Slash...who could just wander into a hotel Axl was in anytime 
I'd call that pressure on the label

Slash rejoining GNR would litterally make me come in my pants.
But I think we all need to take a cold shower.
The signs are there to us fans - like robin gone, scott gone, tommy looking at his old band, richard not commenting on future shows. The massive boast that a reunion would bring to sales and tours and publicity. To us its all clear and obvious... But I don't think it hold true for those involved. Would axl be willing to share the name again? can he promice slash there will be no more show-delays-cancellations etc...these kinds of issues messed up the old band and they havn't gone away. Then theres what they're saying. VR are making a lot of noise about continuing on. Axl only 2 days ago said he was continuing working on the release of his GNR project. There's not much real world evidence to suggest a reuinion other than that we want it...and some guy says he saw them in one building.
But god its a wet dream to me if it happened.

the only reason I don't see Dave being the new Izzy/Gilby/richard is that then it almost looks more like Axl has come to VR rather than the boys comming back to GNR. I'm not sure if egos would allow that. But then egos prohibit the whole reunion anyway sadly.
I think if its a reunion for a few shows we'd get Izzy. If its some kind of perminant deal we'd get Gilby or someone else.
I'd be happy to see Gilby with Slash again. they had chemestry with UYI and Snakepit.
I think i would have to find a way to get to the show if it happened...Axl and Slash....whatever the other bullshit...musically they just belong together!

Hell Yeah I'll be there if there is any way i could come up with the cash (guessing 1st reunion show won't be in Australia).
I don't think there is any issue with the set-list and the old members. I don't see how they could prevent him playing songs when they couldn't stop him touring under the GNR name even. I think they don't play the songs because Axl isn't comftorable singing them these days for whatever reason (emotional or physical etc)

It does point to him having left huh. Like i mean surely if he wasn't gone, someone from GNR would have called him and they would have chatted about how he is just filling in time. If GNR dont know what he is doing, that means he's gone.

Yeah i'd expect the STP stuff to be gone. I think the problem with more GNR stuff is that without Axl they don't want to do it. I remember Slash saying he didn't want to attempt to play songs that had Axl's style on them like Jungle...
They kinda have a problem now. In that they wont want the new singer to be an Axl impersonator, or a scot clone...so they're running out of styles!
