Off his first release "Killing is My Business", there is actually a Metallica song from Kill Em' All on it that with different lyrics. Don't remember which song or the name but its very obvious when you hear it.
The most radio friendly release was Countdown.. surely you've heard Symphony of Destruction.
Mechanix is the song and it is a variation on The Four Horsemen song on Kill Em All.
Let me add in Tornado of Souls as a Rust in Peace favorite. Love the Marty Friedman solo. I downloaded their new album and will give it a listen in the next few days. I've heard a few songs from it already and it sounds great.

So can someone explain to me why NE just didn't take the fg's when they could've ? They would've won that game ffs
Their O Line played like shit too. Brady was left out to dry wayyy too many times
That was an odd coaching decision for sure. I still don't get why they didn't double Miller/Ware more. Those two guys got singled on the poor Pats OT's far too much.
Super Bowl sounds like it'll probably end up as a repeat of the Sea-Den beatdown a few years ago.

For anyone who didn't watch it last night. Triple H got booked to win the title and Rumble
. Reigns was booed again.
They supposedly plan to do Triple H vs. Reigns in the main event at mania. Not exactly holding out high hopes for it.
It's incredible how they try to get Reigns over but it still doesn't work. They should just turn him heel. League of Nations did a beatdown on him in the middle of the match as they did the Cena "overcome the odds" story during the match. And it didn't work at all.
Triple H (the heel!) got cheers when he started beating down Reigns.

Kind of nauseating but more just the self importance of Hollywood and 'awards' in general for me. Such posturing self-importance. IF there is in an imbalance of representation of minorities then obviously that is not cool, but it's hard to feel too sorry for these folk who earn tens of millions of dollars.
Yeah. Plus the Oscars are a damn joke now. They don't even nominate the best performances/films anymore. And the winners are due to politicking and marketing campaigns from infleuntial producers and the like.
#925 Re: The Sunset Strip » Most Recent Movie You've Seen » 538 weeks ago
The Hateful Eight - I liked it, but it was very-by-the-numbers for a Tarantino film.
I didn't take issues with alot of the stuff, it was basically what you'd expect from one of his films. Certain scenes that border on self-indulgence, in other words lasting a little bit longer than needed. Dialogue scenes that go on a bit too much and don't advance the plot, some pretense to justify excessive use of the n word and the ending was almost too predictable.
It's what I expect from one of his films and I normally love it, this though was missing a spark. It wasn't one of his better films, but it was still a Tarantino film I guess.
Thanks for the review. I was on the fence about seeing this but I'll pass and just wait for it on dvd. I've becoming tired of Tarentino recent films as they demonstrate all those negative qualities you stated above. The fact that there is a looong running time (almost 3 hours) was a huge turn off as well.
They just don't make movies like they used to. I rarely watch new horror anymore. The so called "summer blockbuster" seasons are shit too.
Yup. The movies being released have been shit for a long time now. Gotta admit though that the Mission Impossible franchise is still watchable and entertaining to me. The Marvel superhero films basically follow a template and are the same for the most part. Side note: the netflix Marvel tv shows are pretty entertaining.
#926 Re: Guns N' Roses » Something is up with Pitman » 539 weeks ago
I'm with ya on this. I take Pitman's involvement as something Chinese related is on tap because I don't get why they want him otherwise. I've seen some people say he's needed on tracks like NR but I guess those people forgot GNR has been performing that since 1991.
Outside of NR (which Axl can play), is there any song from the setlist (non-CD tracks) that requires keyboards? To me both Dizzy and Pittman aren't really needed and just add to the clutter.

Izzy. Love Duff but he is nowhere near as good a songwriter as Izzy.

I need to whip out that 99 stuff. I remember how horrid that version of IRS was.
Thanks for pointing this out. I think I heard that version years ago. Anyway, I found it on youtube (along with CITR, TWAT). IRS isn't as horrible as I'd thought it be but most of it was just a wall of noise for me. As for CITR, it's not finished and you can tell the vocals aren't mixed in properly. Edit: also listened to TWAT and it's OK. The ending is a clusterfuck and there is where Buckethead improved it immensly:
#929 Re: Guns N' Roses » Looks like rehearsals have started! » 540 weeks ago
The line from Pitman that should ENRAGE you is his carefree attitude about putting an album out. Where in the world of Slash and Duff (Real Guns) they can't imagine not putting out music. With Slash and Duff back in the band Mother Goose better get on board or Fuck Off
Yep, artists still release albums even if they aren't making money on them anymore. It makes this guy easier to criticize for me (and I also hate hiis "contributions" to the songs). Seriously, he should just be quiet and thank his lucky stars that he is involved with this.

I was about to get my panties in a wad over the Kimmel thing but the Coachella announcement made that unnecessary.
I understand hardcore fans wanting different lineups for the reunion but when you get down to brass tacks this is the best GNR news we've had in the 21st century. Well I suppose you could make a case for Rio 01, leaks, and CD's release but NOW things are actually looking up. There's a legit possibility of new music to go along with the reunion and I don't see how anyone can balk at that.
Yeah, those things are minor in the grand scheme of things. As much as I'd like for Adler to be back I can understand why they would not do it for a full tour. I don't really know why Pittman and Reed are there but it's a small trade off to see Slash, Duff and Axl perform together for the first time in 20+ years.

. Reigns was booed again.
