Yeah Coma was hard to pull off live even back then. Factor in age and.....unlikely to happen. I'll add Locomotive to that as well. Out of those UYI epics, NR and Estranged are probably the only ones in contention.
I doubt they are playing Coma since as you mention it's very difficult. I could see the Garden being played as well as The Blues, Catcher, TWAT or This I Love from the CD era.
The big info here is that he has rehearsed with Slash and Duff recently. That was a big point of contention during the break up of the original band.

They will never be the Stones. They blew that all to hell in the mid-90's when they imploded on themselves. I say that as someone who strongly prefers the limited GN'R catalog to the vast Stones catalog. I like the Stones' hits but can't make it through their deep cuts. Guns from 86-91 had one of the most incredible runs ever IMHO. Crazy thing is a lot of their best stuff flies under the radar.
I've been listening to the Stones a lot the past few days and find most of their "deep cuts" pretty accessible. For some reason, some of the really bluesy based tracks just bore me though.

Yeah and look where that got us....
Would you say he was wrong in his assessment of CD?

I actually don't think it would be that hard for him at all. The issue is him staying sober.
The majority of the set list would be mostly AFD tracks, Patience, NR, KOHD, Don't Cry, YCBM and a variety of other cuts anyway.
So I agree with SG that he shouldn't have that much difficulty with the UYI titles, considering that a fair number of them were written while he was still in the band.

Does the opening act have to be a modern rock group? I was thinking about Alice Cooper as an opener but then he's in the same "nostalgia" vein as GNR. On the other hand, he's still a great vocalist unlike others (cough...Vince Neil).

They're in their 50s though. They have a shot at becoming the Stones for this generation.
I think the riots, late starts, etc. are over.
I'm looking forward to proper updates, releases, interesting set lists, and members actually being able to comment about the band they are in.
It makes me sad how they basically wasted 20 years doing nothing.
On the Adler topic, there has to be a way where you can work him into some shows and let him participate without totally depending on him not to fuck him.
Maybe he plays select shows while the other guy (Sorum or Frank, doesn't really matter to me that much) does the rest. I still think Izzy will be involved. He said that he would be up for a reunion years ago. Don't see why he would change his mind now.

I agree with ID that it could be the more recent material that Axl was working on in the studio during the summer. I'm excited at the prospect of hearing Slash and Duff on one of the CD era "big gun" tracks.

I'd be shocked if it was Skid Row too. One of the guitar players didn't seem too keen about reuniting with Bach and used the "money isn't everything" excuse.
What about Halestorm as an opening act?

I don't remember that scene at all.
Neither do I. Back to Sheen, it's heavily rumored that he raped Corey Haim when they starred in Lucas together in the 80s.

All in all, as you said, it's a very weak field. The GOP has created this problem though. They catered to fringe ideologues, hyper religious constituents, gun fanatics etc and now must answer to their new bosses. This leaves no room for a moderate candidate, and why the GOP despise anybody they suspect may not hold dear their beliefs on abortion, religion, guns, middle east policy, privatization and so on.
Pretty much why they are going to get beaten in the general election. The Democrats can pretty much count on the women and minority vote and probably the young voters as well. Republicans have been depending the old southern white vote for far too long.
