I wonder was Slash discussed..
maybe Duff left Axl with some truths that softened his stance. I'm very excited about the fact that he went to dinner alone with Duff. Axl always seems heavily surrounded by the Malibu Mafia at all times. I think this is a huge step forward for him.
I don't hold out on a reunion but pleased for Axl that he still does things for himself now and again.

but damn the dude still played a hell of a show and that GNR danger feeling was still clear in his presence. Likewise Axl
For sure buddy. I was like a teenage girl when I met Slash after his gig in Dublin. The dude has TONS of presence. Axl will be forever my favourite vocalist and also exudes that other worldly rock star thing.
I guess the hair thing actually bugs me, I feel for both of them as its so 'middle aged man' I guess...don't really know where I'm off to here..coming down off my first E in ten years (wife is away!!).

he never takes the hat off once..even in the bed...poor guy must be getting very thin on top.
Maybe he should talk to Kirk Hammett about getting it 'fixed'.
Quirk of fate how for a 'hair band' the two main players (Axl / Slash) appear to be working hard to keep the stuff.
Matt's not exactly flush either..

can anybody in the community contact Slash's mods and ask them to ask Slash for Pretty Tied Up and Locomotive on the enxt round of the tour?

what's the big deal with this AFD re-record?
When you listened to that 'old new line up' play the classics in those New Years gigs, did they play them live that differently? Surely they would have done so, if they recorded them a different way.
I think there are more radical interpretations of AFD tunes all over youtube, done by amateurs that warrant more of a look that these old rehashes
#978 Re: Guns N' Roses » Former Manager Alan Niven Talks Guns N' Roses, Great White, VR, Slash » 808 weeks ago
I didn't even read the stuff about Great White as I always thought that 'W' was a misprint and and an 's' should have been in there instead.
I think Niven is pretty spot on about the whole GNR thing. He makes some pretty tough but fair calls on songwriting and personalities too. I rate him because Izzy stayed with him and I think Izzy was the only sane one from the original band for most of the 90's.
I also think it says a lot that a sober Duff asked him to manage VR. I think the guy is the real deal and should be commended for having the balls to call a spade a spade (as he sees it).
Azoff was too much of a ball swinger for cash to ever be honest about his intentions as was Merch.

On reflection you guys are most likely correct, especially Neemo.
As long as the man can generate money he'll be welcome somewhere.

Fellow Exasperated Gunners,
I think the behaviours of the last few days have sealed the fate of this band.
The Dublin fiasco has gone global on news wires as have the Leeds and Reading conflicts. Its so frustrating as the band themselves played their assess off in each gig.
Its like the crowds are lying in wait for him to show up late and when he does, they let fly. People will just not have his shit anymore.
I reckon CD II will have to be self-financed as will the tour that follows as Uncle Axl has bitten every had that fed him this year going from ex -band mates to managers to promoters and all else in between.
I don't think Axl will spend his own cabbage on these drives.
The man has a galaxy of talent but cannot be trusted.
I predict a very long silent period in the works, with an atom of a possibity that he might do one song with the old line up at the RNRHOF induction.
I just can't see where he can go now.
