Slash's sex health clinic visits during Guns N' Roses tour in the 80s
From our ANI Correspondent

New York, October 17: Guns N' Roses star Slash has revealed that he visited several sexual health clinics while touring with the band in the Eighties.

He writes in his memoir 'Slash' that his visits to VD clinics was part of his attempts to prevent himself from contracting AIDS.

The guitar-crunching rocker says that the AIDS epidemic was in a full swing then.

Slash has revealed that he was afraid of being afflicted by the disease because he was dating two women at that time.

"I remember spending most of my days off in and out of a variety of VD clinics . . . I was dating a porno chick as well as this sweet little junkie jailbait girlfriend I had," the New York Post quoted him as writing in the book.

No major revelations, but news nonetheless.

GILBY CLARKE Comments On Possibility Of GUNS N' ROSES Reunion - Oct. 18, 2007
Ronny North of the Guitar Jam Daily recently conducted an interview former GUNS N' ROSES rhythm guitarist Gilby Clarke. An excerpt from the chat follows:

Ronny North: Everyone knows that you were in GUNS N' ROSES and that whole story. Did you start singing or playing guitar first? Tell us what got you into playing music and a little about your first band and about your former band CANDY that you were in before GUNS. Any chance of a CANDY reunion??? Care to comment about the GN'R reunion rumors?

Gilby Clarke: "I moved from Ohio to California when I just started high school. I found that music was a great way to make new friends in California. I had just started playing guitar at that time. In my first band I played guitar and sang. I joined CANDY as a guitarist. CANDY was a local Hollywood band that was just starting to draw around town. We were headlining clubs like the Whiskey, Troubadour and the Roxy without a deal. We eventually got a deal, made a record, toured and lived the life. CANDY did all these things without a manager, agent, etc., we got all those things once we got signed, but that's when everything fell apart. I've noticed even though I've had managers, agents, etc.,I've gotten all my best gigs without them. All my bands including CANDY, KILL FOR THRILLS and my solo deals, I got with out representation. I got the GN'R gig, ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA on my own too.

"As far as reunions go? Who knows what's gonna happen with GN'R, I guess that's what makes it still interesting. Even when the band was at its peak, we never knew what the future held, so why would we now? "

That could be, Izzy didn't spend as much as any of them and has had a solo career beyond GN'R. But I think Slash probably earned the most.

Izzy stayed away from the drugs and rest of the downward spiral that the rest of them were intertwined with, it would make sense that he'd have a lot of money.

Slash has been involved with a lot of music and has appeared on piles of albums.  If he got paid good money for all that, he should have a big pot of money.

Axl, holding the rights to all the songs should have a lot of money too.  We didn't hear from him for 10 years while he was in seclusion, so I suppose he didn't do much to spend his fortune.

Rickard's for me.  Grasshopper is good (we don't get that on this end of the country though), and Corona is great if you want a Siesta!

I thought Axl said it was 13 tracks.

He also said there's like 3 discs.  It changes every once in a while. wink

But all in all, this is just another person making guesses hoping to be worshiped.  His guess is as good as everyone else's until the album sees the light of day.
