So Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez seems to be at the center of a murder investigation. Never a good thing. Story is still developing but a body was found less than a mile from his house and a rental car linked to Hernandez is somehow connected. 2 men were escorted out of Aaron's home and taken into custody. He apparently is currently being questioned. Not much else is known at this point.

From what I've read, he's being uncooperative with the police and the police have already gotten a search warrant.  Those things would concern me.  He probably knows more about the crime than he's letting on.

Oh and there were other character concerns when he was coming out in the draft (not just the weed thing).

Is Hannibal any good?

Yes.  It would right up your alley as there is a primary focus on psychology.  They do mix in a killer of the week motif.  On the whole I would say that this is more of a psychological drama.  There is a lot of blood in the show to the point where I wonder how the fuck they got this on broadcast network tv.  The cast is great too.  You might have to turn on subs when Mads Mikklensen speaks though as his accent is heavy and can be difficult to understand at times.

Friday the 13th (1980) uncut version--picked it up for cheap on Bluray a few weeks ago.  Wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised at how great the film was.  There was a good combination of gory kills and well developed tension throughout the film.  I liked the soundtrack as well.

Quadrophenia (1979)  Coming of age story.  I believe the time period is the late 1960s.  Whatever the case, I was totally immersed in the 2nd half of the film.  A really well made film.

The fact that the fucking cunt with the red hair is still alive didn't irritate me enough to come back, it just made me hate it.

I think I read somewhere where they might focus more on Emma this upcoming year.  I would hate that as I can't stand her acting or her character.

Have Claire be dead-to-rights, Joe ends up getting his kid back, Ryan kills Wendy and survives to open the door for Joe's book to be done and new characters to be introduced. Claire's death will be a far bigger motivator and affect on Ryan & Joe, as well as her kid, than her being alive.

I don't have a problem with them killing her off.  She was really boring at times so yeah I'm 100% in favor of this.

The F.B.I., nor even Joe's people know where the fuck he is. Ryan should also become an almost laughable unstoppable force as he tries to take out Joe's people one-by-one.

I'd love this one as that mean we'd be rid of the alcoholic woe is me Ryan Hardy.  Some of the episodes where Ryan went "heel" were pretty entertaining.

3) Neve Campbell
--- I don't know if it's a Kevin Williamson thing, or just the tone, but I could easily see Campbell on this show as an F.B.I. profiler. Whether it's her or another actress, a bigger and better character than the previous cult-expert should be brought in to track down Ryan, and wrap up Joe. She is assigned with finding Ryan, and slowly learns that Joe's cult is still around, getting stronger and bigger than ever. The character should be the anchor at the F.B.I. smarter than Ryan, but weaker, giving her balance. She also could set up as a future love interest for Ryan, especially when she starts escaping death on a regular basis and she begins to understand Ryan specifically better than anyone, including Ryan.

As long as they produce a law enforcement agent that is competent and not a moron, I'm all for it.  I thought they should have explored more of Parker's background with her family.  It was pretty interesting but they never followed up on it.

I'm going to have disagree with this one.  I thought he was written far too weak in the second half of the year.  I would much rather him go off the rails and become a psycho again.  They almost have to introduce another psycho since most of the other followers are dead aside from Emma and the psycho neighbor.  Henriksen might be too old for that type of role.  I saw him on Hannibal a couple of weeks ago and he looked really old.

Rays ain't gonna make it this year. The O's are the new Rays, except with actual bats, something the Rays always lacked. The rest of the division is just still strong, including (ironically) the Jays as well.

The Rays will be a fourth place team this year, even if the O's drop off, and even still they'll be 3rd. Yanks and BoSox, as much as i'd like to believe they'll drop off, they won't. Come on, this is the Bronx & Boston we're talking about. When they get on a roll, they stay on a role.

ALC is boring, most likely will be Detroit again. Thought KC would be a sleeper for a little while, but they'll once again reminded the world they are the Royals. Indians are nothing. They're like that girl who everyone makes them think they're beautiful, but they don't know all the jocks are running a pool to see who gets to pop it first. Nothing's gonna happen in Cleveland.

AL West has been surprisingly boring, despite original predicitions. Rangers will dominate again. The A's won't be pulling a Cinderella moment again this year imo. They're only hope is a Wild Card berth if someone in the AL East drops off.

NL West, Rockies were a surprise story but have dropped back to reality. D'Backs have been a surprise, might be the 2012 A's in 2013. Division is still the Giants to lose.

NL Central... god I hate the Cards. Enough. I hate them. They make me sick. Every fuckin' year they dominate the division and do jack shit to do it. Even when they have no talent, no money, they have a farm. Even when they hire no experience for manager, they kick ass. I'm convinced the corpse of Stan Musial could be propped up in uniform as manager and they'd still win the series based on karma alone. Pirates could stage their first up-set since 1992. Fingers crossed, 'cause that'd be cool, plus my high school alumni is their center fielder. Still wouldn't count on the Bucs because of past experience. Reds will fall short imo this year.

NL East... Braves, Phils or Nats. Take your pick. Regardless of performance, in September it's gonna be Manuel vs. Johnson. Braves might make it, but i'm still not sure they've got it without Cox. I don't see that team making it out of the Division Series, if it were September now.

We'll see.

First off, welcome back!

AL East--pretty much agreed it's going to be some combo of NY, BAL, BOS.  The shocking thing about the Yankees is how much production they've gotten from guys who I thought were finished (Wells, Overbay, and Hafner).  I think Boston probably is in the best shape to make a big splashy move near the trade deadline.  I feel sorry for the Rays because they will have to trade David Price at some point during the next two years.  Toronto's playing better but the hole they dug themselves is too much.

AL Central--Tigers will win.  White Sox are treading near .500 which is the worst thing for them since they need to be selling (Peavy, Alexi Ramirez and maybe Dunn) like crazy.  Twins and Royals have basically gone into the toilet in May.  Twins should have traded Willingham last year.  Indians are winning because the rest of the division stinks.  They've been having major bullpen issues the past week.  I could see them hanging in there though.

AL West--Rangers and A's battling it out.  I wouldn't neccesarily count out Oakland winning the division title.  Angels have too many holes (rotation, shitty bullpen, inconsistent lineup) to really contend.  The best they can do is hover around .500.  M's have fallen back to earth after a surprising April.  Same old story though--decent pitching but a dreadful offense.  Astros are battling the Marlins for the worst record in baseball.

NL East--I think the Nats will eventually overtake the Braves.  BJ Upton has a line of .146/.232/.247 this year.  I believe you correctly called out what a horrible signing that would be.  Add in Dan Uggla and Jason Heyward's sub .200 batting averages and you have the makings of a below average offense.  The Phillies are a tough one for me to figure out.  The pitching (aside from Halladay) has been very good but the offense has struggled.  Dominic Brown has been carrying them lately 10+ HR in May.  Utley is on the DL again.  They're basically hoping that Ryan Howard produces more than he has.  They don't really have much ammo to trade for upgrades.

NL Central--I hate the Cards too but I can't really see them surrendering a playoff spot.  At worst they'll get the 1st WC.  The only weakness I see is that their middle relievers are pretty poor.   I think the Pirates might actually break the "streak" this year.  Their problems are at SS, RF/1B.  I expect them to make a move to improve the offense.  Don't know if it'll be enough because the rotation is bound to regress at some point.  They have the best bullpen in the division though.  Oh also Hurdle is bound to cost them some games with his shitty managing.  I don't really see any big holes with the Reds.  They're pretty solid all around and will probably snag a WC.  I suppose could always fuck up their rotation with his pitcher overuse.  I didn't expect the Brewers to be this horrible.  The Cubs are in obvious sell mode and really are just praying that Garza's arm doesn't fall off so they can peddle him off for more prospects.  Cubs could probably trade another of their starters.  Szamardja has pitched very well.  The Cubs problem is that they have so many fucking holes on offense so that kind of offsets the solid starting pitching.  At least they had the good sense to dump Marmol from the closers spot.

NL West--another competitive division.  Didn't really see the Rockies getting off to that start.  They also have Roy Oswalt in the minors.  I could see the Diamondbacks being a contender the entire year since they have good starting pitching and more waiting in the wings in the minors.  Closer has been an issue for the D'backs.  Figure the Giants will find a way to win the division since Sabean always seems to make a move to help the team.  The Dodgers dug themselves too much of a hole although they are playing better.  Also of note:  Adrian Gonzalez has never been the same player since shoulder surgery in 2011.  The Padres have been a pleasant surprise.  They won't win the division but they have surpased expectations.

My favorite addition this year to the cast is the Diana Rigg character.  She seems to get the best (or funniest) lines each episode.   I gotta admit Tywin Lannister has been great as one of the main villians this year.

On a sad note, we won't be seeing any more nude scenes from Oona Chaplin (Talisa) anymore.  And they really need to can that Theon Greyjoy subplot.  I don't like the character to begin with but it seems like the past few weeks have been nothing but torture porn in most of the scenes that involve him.

San Francisco gets to host Super Bowl 50.  Houston gets to host Super Bowl 51.  Miami gets shut out because they still have problems getting the money for the renovations from the city.

Did anyone end up watching this entire season?  I ended up sticking with it the entire year and almost wished I hadn't.  I ended up watching more for the "unintentional humor" and incompentent FBI/local police work.  The season just ended up spiraling downward for the most part.  The plot got progressively worse as the season wore on and they ended up killing most of the interesting characters.

The only good thing was that the season finale wasn't as horrible as I'd thought it be and I'll probably watch a few episodes of Season 2.  Also Kevin Bacon was far more interesting when his character took on a snarky tone.

Kristin Scott Thomas, still hot.

She's been in mostly French films in the last ten years or so.  Probably better for her since she knows how to speak the language and has gotten better roles than she would have in the US.  I'd recommend watching Tell No One (2006) as she delivers a solid (albeit supporting) performance.

And back to the topic, trailer looks bad ass and I'm looking forward to it.  I also picked up Drive last month and am going to be watching that in the next few weeks or so.

It's shame, WWE seems to forget that he was an actual bad ass wrestler 10 years ago, not just a UFC celebrity.

Was this match better than the Wrestlemania snoozer from last month?  Half the time the rematches on the Wrestlemania matches end up being better.

I like what HHH has done outside the ring as an exec but fuck I have zero interest in watching him in a main event feud.   It always ends up the same.  Same old shitty promos and same old crappy formula matches.

To be fair I thought they ruined Brock when they brought him in and had Cena beat him (in SuperCena fashion) in that one PPV.
