then later:
"Due to production issues beyond the venue’s control, Magic City Productions and the Times Union Center are forced to cancel the appearance"
which is it?
sucks for gnr if this is not axl's fault cause they will get all of the flack for it either way especially when the announcement points the finger at them.

The only concert in town now is the Q103 Thanksgiving Hangover featuring Staind on Saturday.
wow. that is a total drag. feel sorry for folks in that area.

Yeah it would be nice for the people involved to get an actual reason rather than "production issues". Sounds like it does stem from the band though as anything else would surely be under the control of the venue. Perhaps it's bad health of someone or something like that.
EDIT: There's a billion other things that could go wrong that are not the fault of the band, what I mean is the wording from the statement really makes it sound like the venue is blaming the band.

Nobody bought tix. Or not enough. Stay tuned for more of these situations in the future.
Not trying to be negative, because it's a great show to see, but it's currently way overbooked right now. I'm hoping west coast fans don't lose out a THIRD time. Lofton just might stage a riot himself.
