Play with Slash?

Slash told him to break a leg moments before showtime.

Wow this is petty bad luck for Axl.

He can turn it into an advantage.

Stationary Axl can mean more power in vocals.

Good point!

It also buys them a pass not to have to run around like it's 1991 (whereas if he could and just didn't reviewers might start up) and if he nails these shows it will be be a positive story in the press that he soldiered on with a break.

Still...can't help but think Smoking Guns did some type of voodoo here to punish Axl for the secret show wink

After all that went down, he still had enough for possibly the best "Paradise City" of that tour.

Unless the foot worsens, I don't see this being much of a problem. Axl will probably feel better not having to move around alot anyways.

THis does bring back memories of 91 that's for sure. This should also show any doubters how seriously he is taking this. It would have been the perfect excuse to back out of these shows but they're moving forward and will adapt to it.

I don't think it's all about seriousness. I think he has to be committed.

The stakes are too high this time. This is basically a reboot of the 91-93 GN'R (Axl, Slash, Duff & Dizzy + 3 additionals). They are now back on their proper Stones-esque level.

Axl can't blow off the first show, or this whole thing implodes before it gets started.

Could you imagine doing this, and the first night (like 2002) is a riot at the new T-Mobile Arena?

It'd slit their throat before they ever even got their guns out.
