If Bernie gets people to vote that never vote, then there’s no way Trump wins.
For those he gets out he'll alienate many others. Those making 100k & up that previously voted dem (liberal types). Even likely those making 60-70k & up. The thought of "Free healthcare, free college" and you'll be the one paying for it will turnoff voters. Trump will spin it into Mexicans crossing the border to get free college.
Either they won't vote or might even (yikes) flip & vote for GOP. Some people feel the need to 'always' vote. It would make a statement to Dems, too far. A Bernie win won't mean a Democratic uptick in votes or an onslaught.

Bloomberg is just awful. I think he'd do worse than Biden. If Biden picks someone like Amy as a VP that will help.

Here’s an alternative to the doom and gloom Bernie scenario...what if he does raise taxes on billionaires, absolves some student loan debt, give a Medicaid/care option for all and lower the deficit...is that really that bad?

Bernie's billionaire tax would trickle down to us, if we're talking about what he wants to do. The student loan is going to piss so many people off... Warren is getting hammered over this from people confronting her that they did everything right, they didn't go to a school they couldn't afford, they were responsible, yet they'll be on the hook for paying the debt off for others who werent. He's not talking about a public option, if he does compromise to that he'll lose his base.

I could see Biden picking Klobuchar, though I don't know what benefit that gets him other than possibly securing the white female vote, which admittedly is very important. I still think Harris is the best bet, though Biden already has strong support from the black vote and Obama will solidify that for him.

I'm assuming Harris brings the black vote in. You're right she doesn't poll exceptionally well with blacks, but she has to do better than Klobuchar or Pete. I don't see Pete being picked over a woman, as I can't see their VP not being female. Trump having the first openly gay cabinet position is a real blow to the left's diversity mantra. Amy has single digit delegates, those aren't going to factor into Biden's decision. Even with Minnesota on Tuesday, she'll be capped out just under 30.

Curious: what’s stopping anyone from announcing who they’re running mate would be now?
I heard a reason years ago. I think it has to do with the VP to win an election, may not be the one to win the primary. Pence for instance. Also it rules out an opponent who could benefit you in a general, Biden as veep in 08, for instance.

That doesn't really matter to the extent it would give his campaign a shot of life (and money) and would alleviate some of the workload off him from appearances and media spots.
Pete being gay could help, he's got a lot of delegates. Biden doesn't need help with the black vote.
