I got nothing against Colbert.  I don't watch his show (or any late night for that matter), but I saw him open for Stanhope back in 2003 and he handled a heckler better than any comic I've seen.   I'm not interested in an eye for an eye.  I'm glad we had a bipartisan budget even if I didn't get funding for the wall.  But the public isn't stupid and they realize which side behaves like the rules don't apply to them.  Hell, even Warren went after Obama this week for following Hillary and taking 400k for a speech while claiming he stands for the little guy.  Bernie and Moore have 3 houses and lectures the "wealthy" on excess.  It's all a fucking joke and only the stupid on either side fall for it.

I do not begrudge Trump, Obama, Sanders or anyone for making a buck. We live in a capitalist society and that's not going to change.

The biggest joke of it all is that people would pay that much. If someone is willing to pay Obama $400,000 for a single speech, I think the joke is on them.

If we were ever to change to a socialist system and Bernie Sanders was still doing those things that I think you would have a very valid point. But until then, Americans will buy anything. They were literally consumed the shit out of everything especially things they don't need.

Are you saying that because Bernie Sanders advocates for socialist position that he should not play the game of capitalism which is the name of the game now?

Is there a new standard to pass in the house besides a simple majority.  The Senate will pass it eventually via reconciliation just as the Dems did in 2009.

Nah, it's just the hypocrisy. Never mind that Trump hasn't done anything to favor Putin, making the claim ridiculous.

But for a group of people who have a blatant and proven racist helping lead their party, the probable 2020 candidate pretending to be Sakagewa for most of her private career, and who ran a candidate who invited the father of a radical Muslim who murdered 50 gay people to stand behind her on stage, it's par for the course.

And the whole violation of FCC obscenity laws.  I couldn't give a fuck except they'd scream for his head if Tucker Carlson made a joke about Clinton muff diving on Huma.

Except he continues to contradict all his national security agencies and anyone with knowledge of the hacks by defending his cock rocket and denying they have anything to do with it, so yeah, he is showing favoritism to Putin.

The hypocrisy of a bunch of ignorant buffoons decrying a homophobia yet supporting an administration that supports conversion therapy is a little rich.

Bullshit. The administration doesn't support conversion therapy. Unlike Barry, Trump actually campaigned on being supportive of gay marriage instead of waiting until he was elected to his 2nd term. Or did you forget Clinton opposed gay marriage in 2008 too.

Of course they do, he selected a vice president who pushes conversion therapy and wants the government to pay for it.

"Resources should be directed toward those institutions which provide assistance to those seeking to change their sexual behavior." Many believe "change their sexual behavior" is in reference to conversion therapy"

But kids, who this is aimed at, can't say no if their parents force them into it. If Pence has pubically changed his stance, please enlighten me.

Hillary isn't president. She didn't choose Pence as her VP.

Re: US Politics Thread

Pence has no authority to change anything.  Trump has never condoned conversion therapy, and with the recent SCOTUS ruling, states are able to ban such practice.  So your claim that the "administration supports conversion therapy" is just dishonest.

So the same people you generally accuse of being homophobic, are now upset that Colbert called Trump's mouth a "cock holster"?  Which is it.  Either the GOP is homophobic or they're (the people who give a shit what a late night comedian says) using the same BS PC/Victim card rolled out by the left everytime someone uses an unapproved word.

You seem to be confused. I'm merely pointing out that what Colbert said was not homophobic IMO. While conservatives are claiming it is. That's it.
