He does seem to mix the two. I think the lyrics are almost a rip off of previous Scott lyrics from VR.

The more I listen, the more I hear Scott's writing on Contraband, and a little STP in there as well.

And he sounds bad when he goes high.

I dig Montana's version of Clappy

David Simpson and Tony Montana are the only two (that we know of) who have been asked to lay vocals on a third track.

Is it safe to say they were in the running at one point, whilst anyone with only two songs was rejected by the band?

I think so. The third step could have been an auditon with the band.

I do agree that Tony Montana had good ideas even for this punkish (and for me) uninspired song.

Whenver I hear any versions of that "Clappy" song I keep thinking of the song "Hey Mickey" or any other 80's song with the automatic clapping machine.

Good to see VR still think there some mileage yet for songs with clapping
