Yeah, its a travesty that everyone is overlooking it. Nothing Compares to U is just the tip of the iceberg.

Perfect example of this album being overlooked....

Kriss Kross - Totally Crossed Out

No offense meant to your picks Faldor. Just making a point. wink

As far as Sinead goes, when we get around to an 80s elimination, The Lion and the Cobra should be a shoe in.

Troy destroys about 90% of the songs we discuss here.

Another album I completely overlooked.

Love how there are quite a few Soundgarden fans here. At least two of their masterpieces must be represented in any type of 90s matchup, and everyone here realizes that. 22

Ha ha, I was waiting for someone to pick up on the Kriss Kross.  I made sure to put it last on my list so it would get the extra exposure.  I somehow doubt it'll make the final list.  What can I say?  I was a fan.  I was in middle school when they hit it big and I went through my "wigger" phase trying to dress all ghetto.  I didn't quite take it to their extreme with the backwards jeans, although I did dress like that on Halloween that year.

No hip hop lovers in here?  I'm surprised Dr. Dre or Snoop Dogg haven't been mentioned.  Or have they?  Maybe I missed them.

I put Chronic and Chonic 2001 on my list. Even though it's titled 2001, it was actually released in 99

Chronic 2001 and the Slim Shady LP were on my list.

Karma on the Chris Rea reference. I have not heard that album, but his song 'Fool If You Think Its Over' is one of my all time favorite songs.

I know some of you lurkers are viewing this thread. Nothing wrong with lurking as I lurked on HTGTH for years before diving in, but go ahead and post your list.

I promise we wont bite. wink

Nice calls I missed before with some Faith No More (Axlin08) and Ice T (James).  How could I forget Ice T?

If we ever have a one hit wonder elimination, it makes my list......

Arrested Development

Amazing album and was huge at the time. They suffered from what a lot of other artists went through in that decade...

TOO much amazing competition. 5 seconds after people were mesmerized by that album, they were on to the next masterpiece.

By the time they released a follow up, no one cared.

While I was initially against CD being included in the 00s elimination, I don't know how its possible to have a true 90s music elimination without including those two records. Those were huge for two years.

Now if TSI was being voted on by everybody just to fill the list with GNR, I would agree. GNR fans would be rigging it by flooding it with GNR. So far, one vote for TSI and a scattering of votes for solo releases. Ju Ju or Colma might make it, but other than that, only the UYI discs will represent GNR.

Soundgarden is going to be a juggernaut in this elimination series because going by current tallies, all three of their 90s records are a shoe in. Soundgarden and GNR are the big enchiladas with a scattering of grunge, metal, pop, and rap thrown in.
