Re: Best album of the 80s- Nominations

I don't know a ton about 80s music, it's not my decade of choice and i was born after it, but here's my list anyways.

Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction
Guns N' Roses - Lies
Michael Jackson - Thriller
Michael Jackson - Bad
Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine
Van Halen - 1984
Def Leppard - Hysteria
Def Leppard - Pyromania
Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking
AC/SC - Back in Black
Ozzy - Blizzard of Ozz
U2 - The Joshua Tree
U2 - War
Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet
Run DMC - Raising Hell
Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold us Back
Faith No More - The Real Thing

Looking up some albums I realize I should've nominated Ratt's Detonator for the 90s, but it wouldn't have made it anyway.

This might be a dumb question, but do soundtracks count

An album like Purple Rain or a film score would certainly qualify. If soundtracks are just a selection of certain songs, no it wouldn't count.
