i've seen "the mist" a couple of days ago. it's based on a stephen king novella.
makes some interesting points about the people behavior if they're left isolated with no technology around. if everybody would act like in this movie than we are lost as a human race.
and this movie was advertised with the line "the most shocking ending you'll see". yeah, if you're a two year old.
all in all an entertaining but predictable movie. wouldn't watch it again though

I saw In Bruges last night. Pretty good, wasn't really sure what to expect but I enjoyed it. For the most part it's a comedy but at times towards the end gets pretty dark. Very enjoyable though 8/10

I just watched Black Water. Definitely the snooze fest of the decade. This film should definitely be used in terrorist interrogation techniques.

just saw "A mighty heart" with Angelina Jolie....about that american journalist who got nailed in Afghanistan about two years ago.....must say...really well done....I don't like her very much as an actress...but she portrays a French woman in the movie....and has done an awesome job...in my view, probalby her best performance yet....

the film was also well shot, and the script/characters were done well....

definitely worth checking out....

Yeah, I liked that film also. The best movie she's done in years.

I watched The Recruit last night. Reasonable enough, the first half was pretty good, but the second half lost my interest a bit. As the plot unfolded the 'twist' ending was spottable a mile off.

Then we watched Blood Diamond last night which I found to be GREAT. I completely and totally disliked DiCaprio's attempt at a british accent, but other then that, it was great.

Great movie, DiCaprio has won me over the last few years with some choice movies. He has finally stopped looking like a 14 year old. His accent was supposed to be South African so no wonder you didn't like it if you thought it was British.

Last movie I saw was Planet Terror. A whole lot of stupid, cheap, cheesy fun. Pretty good, although the trailer at the start for 'Machete' was better than the actual film.

He was playing the role of a South African smuggler/mercenary. Not British. wink

I'm going to go see The Forbidden Kingdom in a few.

It's that movie that's being hyped because it has Jackie Chan and Jet Li.  I am definitely excited.

By the way everyone, Iron Man is fucking great.  I went in thinking it was going to be another run of the mill shitty superhero movie, but it's great.  It deserves all the hype.

Re: Most Recent Movie You've Seen

I watched a movie last night called Wonderland starring Val Kilmer.  It was really, really good.  It was about the Wonderland murders that happened in Laurel Canyon Calif.   It's a true story about John Holmes, porno star with a 12 or 13 inch cock in the 70's, that got involved with major drugs and drug dealers.   He was inbetween 2 drug groups and one group 4 people were murdered in the house they partied in and they nicked named the house Wonderland, which is how the murders got to be called the Wonderland murders.

It was really good, lots of stars in it.

Check it out if it's ever on.
